001 || accidental video / text
[ The video will pop on to show one Jane Foster, who is very obviously distracted. Jane's not even looking at the camera - her head is turned, eyes focused on her right as she frowns. She's not actually expecting the phone to be recording her, she'd only been pressing buttons at random as she walked down one of the hallways.
Like most people who show up, she was confused, angry and the tiniest bit frightened when she found herself in an unfamiliar room. Who wouldn't be? It's not every day she blinks and wakes up in some abandoned science facility. That anxiety quickly turns to irritation and frustration. There's no time, or point, in sitting around and being scared.
As soon as she got over the initial shock of 'what the hell just happened', she immediately left her room, looking for someone who could clear up a few things for her. Well...more than a few, but that's neither here nor there.
She has yet to catch sight of anyone so far, which is slightly surprising since she assumed there was a group of people already here but she's certainly found something. It's a machine, large and humming with electricity. ]
I can't even tell what it's doing... [ This is muttered to herself as the hand holding her little phone drops a bit, giving the viewers a good shot of her chin. Jane walks closer to the machine, desperately wanting to poke at it some but she controls herself for the moment. Shaking her head, she looks back at the device in order to fiddle with it some more. There has to be a help menu on here somewhere. ]
[ The video cuts off, but then there is a text sent out from her - this is obviously on purpose, and brought on by the frustration she has building inside. It's probably not a good idea to announce her name to a bunch of strangers, but she can deal with the consequences later if there are any. She wants answers, dammit. ]
My name is Jane Foster, and I just arrived here. Wherever here is. I haven't even been able to find out who's in charge yet.
....is there anyone in charge? Because I'd like to have a chat with them.
[ And the chat would be none too pleasant. ]

It figures. Being pulled into a facility like this without knowing how or why wouldn't be near as fun if we knew who was doing it.
[ Her sarcasm dial is stuck at ten today. What she wouldn't do to get her hands on whoever's in charge. ]

[ She wasn't here for the town but she'd heard about it ]
Do you remember what happened before you got here?
no subject
[ Which is the simplest way she can think of to explain it without going into the dirty details on the physics and why everything just went all to hell. ]
I actually wondered if that's what caused me to show up here at first, but all of that had been corrected before I came here. Do you remember what you were doing?
no subject
[ She hadn't expected the same thing from anyone else ]

Was it during the convergence? I know things were a little crazy in some places.
[ She's assuming Emma's talking about that whole 'incident' that happened recently on Earth. ]

It's a cosmic phenomenon that happens when worlds line up just right. Portals to other worlds open up and physics goes absolutely insane.
[ She thinks that's a pretty good way to simplify it. Jane could talk for hours about this stuff, especially something that's so recently happened.
That probably means it wasn't what caused your own portal adventure. It would have been noticeable, believe me.

[ Not that she understands it. Magic beans and a lake ]
What happened?
no subject
What kind of magic?
[ And then it takes her a little longer to actually answer Emma's question: ]
Just the usual - bad guy tries to take over the universe, and is stopped with the power of science.
...and maybe a god. Idk, the specifics are really long and drawn out.

[ She knows, she sounds crazy. She thought it was crazy ]
That doesn't really sound familiar. [ She's used to the bad guy winning. Good guys come last and all ] What god?
no subject
[ Maybe she should have paid more attention to those stories when she was younger, hmmmm. ]
Thor, actually. If someone had taken me aside ten years ago and described the things that I've seen, I probably would have called a doctor and had them committed. It's crazy.
no subject
[ Not the exact same but she'd gotten them from a giant, anyway ]
I tried doing that a year ago. It took me a while to believe it.
[ And a lot of shouting in her face ]
no subject
Hard to accept the impossible even when it's staring you in the face, isn't it?
[ She'd wanted to believe it, and had gotten a little freaked out at one point, but now she's aware that anything truly is possible. ]

[ If it hadn't...well, Jane's sure she would lament the easier times. ]

While I was driving.
I may or may not have run him over.
[ Twice. But who's counting? ]
It was interesting.
no subject
[ Just for some light humour ]
What did he do when you ran him over?

Then I had to turn right back around and find him again since he had all the answers I was looking for. Then I hit him with my car again.
It's probably a good thing I don't have a vehicle here, it's how I've learned to say hello these days.
[ Jane can make fun of herself about it now, but before she'd been half mortified and worried she was going to give this guy so many injuries he would die. Until she found out just who he was. ]
