Has anyone seen Sam or Dean Winchester in the past few days?

[ He's actually concerned that Dean hadn't really come back at all. What if he'd been hallucinating? ]

Are--[ He's not sure of the best way to word this next question. ] Are Lucifer or Meg or Crowley really here?

[ How much of that had been in his own mind? How much had that drug affected him? ]

[ She pauses again, choosing her words carefully. She doesn't want to crush his hope exactly, but well. Things don't look good. ]

Balthazar is still missing. Sam too. ...Do you want help looking for him?

Sam came back that first time. Dean came back once, too. I know he'll be back.

[ He can't lose faith in that. He won't. ]

[ She won't point out what she'd heard though, that the way Sam came back wasn't at all how he had left. Instead she just works a smile onto her face, as comforting as she can manage. ]

Then we'll look. I'll warrant we can get further than most of the people here. How much of the boundaries have you checked?

Mostly the northern edge of the woods. I'll move onto the west soon. There's only so many places they could be if they're still in the town.

[ It hurts him to even admit that. ]

They might not be in town, they could be around the outer limits. You know they're not good at staying out of trouble.

[ It's supposed to be a light hearted comment, but it just comes off as more foreboding than anything else. ]

I can take the other side. Be careful around the perimeter, there's a lot out there to keep us in. If they're here, we'll find them.
