Kenzi [009] Video
Sooooooo ... hey. Phil's been kinda corpsified. Looks pretty bad... don't wanna describe it all publicly and junk because some of the more delicate residents might pass the hell out. Don't know why the body's still here... that makes, what-- two now? Sticking around? Kinda creepy. We haven't found any of the other ones until now, so it's a little shady.
Um. I can't-- ... move him. So. I covered him with a tarp, if-- ... [She sucks in a breath] if anyone wants to look at the body first and then maybe help me move him? That would... rock. I guess.
Clint's still missing. Natasha, too. And a bunch of other people on the list. But, yeah, found Phil.
[Private to Kobra Kid]
We need to freakin' talk. ASAP.

Have you got someone? I can get him somewhere easier to move and...check if need be.

[Siiiiiiiiiigh. If she doesn't ask, Galen's gonna make that face at her.] Anna, would you maybe be able to look at something for me? It's not... exactly a normal thing and I don't know if you can fix it but only like three people know and it would be awesome if you could keep it quiet, so-- Yeah. I have this rash... --Oh my god, it's not what it sounds like.
[private]
Okay she's good. Initial shock aside, she's glad Kenzi is actually asking, and she smiles faintly as she gives her a quick nod. ] Won't tell a soul.
Whenever you have time, I'll look at your...rash for you. [ Maybe teasing a little bit there, but only a tiny bit. ]

Not over the network. I'll be in my room if you wanna take the shortcut.

Shortcut it is. Now what is it?

Woah. Straight to business, huh? Okay, jeeze. So... I don't know if you know what a Norn is, but I spilled something funky on my arm when I went to have a talk with her for a friend. [A talk involving a chainsaw. She slowly starts pulling her sleeve up and undoing the bandages around her arm.] All she said was 'a gift has been given!' and she was all ominous about it and the stuff was black and probably magical or poison or...
Anyway, it turned into this. [With the bandages off, her rash looks more like a bloody mess all along the top of her arm. One giant open wound, raised and puckered in places like a burn.] ... Can you fix it?

You sounded worried, I thought it'd be best if we didn't waste any time.
[ Anna is damn good at keeping up a poker face, but when she reveals the wound on her arm she can't help but slightly raise her eyebrows. It looks bad. ] Kenzi, you should have said something sooner. It's been like this the whole time you've been here?
[ She steps forward, eyeing the wound a little closer as she gently takes hold of her arm. She's careful not to look worried, but she's never heard of a Norn before - and when someone as old as Anna hasn't come across something, it's usually a fairly decent cause for concern. ]
I can try. This is...different universe stuff though. I don't know if my abilities extend that far.

[She lets Anna hold it, touch it, whatever the hell she needs to do, with minimal wincing. And that answer was what she was afraid of.] Will trying burn you out? Because if it's going to make you all exhausted and powered down, maybe we shouldn't even try. It's not worth it.

[ Her attention goes back to her arm though, and she focuses carefully on the affected areas. She's still being incredibly careful as she holds her arm, and after a moment her eyes dart back up to Kenzi, just briefly. Best to keep her somewhat distracted. ]
Can you tell me more about the fae?
[ It's not exactly all that relevant, she just wants to get her talking and hopefully slightly less focused on the wound while Anna's attention is on it, and with great focus she lays her hand over it. She's trying her best, she really is. Every ounce of her Grace is focused solely on trying to heal this wound. She takes her hand away after a few moments pass and...
Nothing. ]

I probably shouldn't be telling anyone anything about the fae. They have more secrecy issues than you do. But I mean... we're stuck here and I can't do this on my own. My bff Bo back home, she's fae. And we're kind of caught between these two sides. Light and Dark. But dark isn't necessarily evil? They're just looser with their morals. I mean most fae peeps are jackasses, doesn't matter what side you're on, and they can all do different, whacked out stuff. Kind of like you, but less... angelic.
[When she finally looks over and Anna's hand isn't there anymore, her eyes widen and she looks like she's about to cry. It's still there. It doesn't look any better and it doesn't feel any different. When she speaks, her voice is quiet.] ... Didn't work, did it?
no subject
[ It hasn't worked, and the looks on Kenzi's face just about kills her. With a small frown she looks down again, focuses again and tries again because she can't just leave it like that. ]
Kenzi, I'm sorry. I don't- [ She's still frowning, and after a moment lets go of her arm, folding her arms over her chest instead. ] The 'fae', this magic you talk about. It's not from my world, not at all. Maybe that's why this doesn't work.

[Holy shit, this totally sucks. Anna definitely has a point about spilling fae secrets to people that don't even have fae where they come from. It's probably safe. But it doesn't do her much good if none of these people can help her and this whatever it is ends up killing her.
But she smiles. Puts on her brave face. Don't freak Anna out. Be optimistic, dammt!]
It'll probably go away on its own eventually. But maybe... we shouldn't tell Galen.
