I have directly witnessed the death of a very small number of humans, though fortunately never here. It is... distressing.

[Painful, nearly.]

When Partner Elijah died, he would not allow me to stay in the room with him, for fear of doing me harm by it. He passed away shortly after I left. It was... difficult. The First Law states that a robot may not harm a human nor through inaction allow a human to come to harm, and that I could have done nothing is very little comfort. He was very old.

The return of individuals who die here is something I do not know how to account for.
