It took me a few minutes to recognize it for what it was. Someone had skinned it alive. Because of their regenerative properties, it wasn't enough to kill it... kind of hard to watch, actually. It was in a lot of pain.

Kind of goes without saying given the situation, I guess. They're immortal, so I can only hope that they would be able to grow their own skin and scales back.
