✘ 002 | Action/Audio/Catch-All | Day 110
[Action, for Ellen:]
[Jo is in the back when the earthquake hits, suddenly and without any warning, having been making an effort to tidy up what serves as the Harvelles' living space. Things begin to rocket off the shelves before she can run for cover, and she has a few narrow misses as she scrambles for the doorway, bracing her hands against either side and cringing as she hears things crash to the ground behind her. She tenses when she hears glass break in the direction of the still, her chest growing tight.]
Mom?! Are you okay?!
[If there's an answer, she can't hear it over the rumbling or the racket caused by things falling apart around them, but all the hard work they've put into the bar seems to have paid off, because the structure is secure enough that it's still standing (as far as she can tell) when the quaking dies down. As soon as things seem stable enough, she pushes off from the door frame and runs in the direction of the still, skidding around some debris on the way.]
Mom?!
[Private Audio to Raphael:]
Raphael? If you can hear this... I might need your help. Mom's been injured. I can't tell how bad it is, there's a lot of blood, but I'm pretty sure the first aid supplies I have aren't gonna cut it. I'm sorry to ask, but -- you've helped us before. Mom trusts you.
[Given a certain value of trust.]
[Audio:]
Is everyone out there okay? If you're in need of first-aid or trapped somewhere, let the network know as soon as you can, someone will come find you.
[She intends to be one of those someones.]
Anyone who isn't hurt and can move around easily, we should all fan out and make sure nobody's stuck or injured so badly they can't get someone's attention.

[ playing is good. playing means they don't have to worry about you know. panic and destruction and all that. ]
Standing yes, salvageable maybe. IDK, I haven't really checked. [ she's perfectly cool with just hiding for now. ] That's good though. We like being in one piece.
audio »
Who knows. Things are about to get pretty desperate around here.
[Well, that's good news, at least.]
Standing is good. I'm just glad we don't seem to have that many serious injuries going around. All things considered, we got lucky.

[ oh good. good good just what charlie wanted to hear yup. ]
Though - heh - how funny would it be if we, you know. Did. We focus on the super and it's a totally natural disaster that does us in.
[ heh. heh. heh c'mon jo it's funny. ]
audio »
[Always.]
Ironic, right?
[She cracks a smile. Yes, Charlie, she thinks you're funny.]
Personally, I would be really disappointed if I went out that way. Pretty anticlimactic, by hunters' standards.
[Or. You know. At all. Once was enough.]
audio »
[ but hey as long as she's funny! ]
Exactly! Which means that we're obvi not gonna go that way. Too badass for that.
audio »
[If you're going to keep hanging around with the Winchesters and their ilk, anyway.]
So does that make you a hunter? Or a hunter-to-be, maybe?
[She doesn't get the hunter vibe off Charlie in the least, but if she's helped out Sam and Dean, she's had a taste of the life. It's hard to turn back after that.]
audio »
[ she's kidding, of course, but still. ]
In training, actually. They saved my butt from a man-eating boss, cock-blocked me from a fairy and then needed a sub for the younger sibling. So uh, yeah. In training works.
audio »
[She kind of loves that you just used the word 'gank,' though.]
Planning to keep up on that training now that you're here?
[She'd be surprised if Dean had time to have a hand in it anymore.]
I can help you out some, if you want.
audio »
[ definitely intentional, that. but she doesn't sound too broken up about it. that's definitely something she's started to notice. ]
I dunno. Probably. [ she looks a little sheepish when she says this, only because she probably should be but she's been so busy with...staying alive. and helping dean with all his problems. ]
Wait- really?
audio »
[She actually manages to sound cheerful, which doesn't seem to happen too often around this place. The idea of having a project, something to look forward to is more appealing than she thought when she'd made the offer itself, actually.]
I need to keep myself in shape, anyway, or else I'll get rusty. I could show you a thing or two. I've got time.
audio »
That would be so freaking sweet. You don't even know.
audio »
[That's right, Charlie. You're a hunter now.]
Just let me know when you want to work on things, okay? I can take you out for target practice sometime, maybe give you some pointers with bladework.
audio »
Sure! I mean. Probs when all this is over and we're not dealing with possible people possibly dying and all. But definitely.
audio »
[The timing isn't exactly stellar at the moment, Charlie's right about that.]
In the meantime, I'm going to keep looking around and see if there's anyone who needs help that can't answer for themselves.
audio »
[ yeah no, definitely not stellar. not stellar at all. ]
Oh, right, yeah. You get back to heroing and I'll make sure my roommate didn't die.
audio »
[Though she can't be seen, you can almost hear the grin.]
Good luck -- and be safe out there.
[With that, she hangs up.]
