[Once the wound is clean, it is clearly just a deep cut.]

[Martha pulls out a sterile suturing needle and thread.]

Go ahead and take a swig or two.

[She nods to the bottle knowing full well that that's probably exactly what Ellen was going to do. Martha's not quite as uptight as most doctors are, mainly because she's lived through hell and still managed to save people.]

[The stitches don't take long. About five and then she smears some cream on them and bandages the whole thing up. She reaches into her bag for two mild pain killers.]
