Dean Winchester | 008 | Video
Well, welcome to the other side.
[ Dean's been laying low since this place decided to turn into an episode of This Is Your Life, featuring some of his least favorite angels of all time, but after their stint in the tunnel, it seems kind of dumb. They know he's here, even if they didn't talk, and Dean knows they're here, and what the hell ever.
He's got stuff to say, anyway. He spins around in his chair, revealing the wall of monitors behind him, some of them showing feed from the Cape. ]
Now we get to see what life's like over here. Ever wonder what those cameras were hooked up to? [ He grins tightly. ] Found it. Lots of seats up here too to make it nice and cozy.
[ Dean's pissed, and it's thinly veiled, but he breaks off from that to look away and then back again. ]
Has anyone seen Charlie? Redhead, big nerd, game for miles. Tell her to call me.
[ She probably just got lost in the shuffle, right? (He can't even fool himself that much.) ]

It's called the Security Room on the little sign on the door. [ He slowly turns his chair a little more, showing off how many chairs are here. ] Looks like it was a popular place.
no subject
[Fortescue smiles wryly.]
And I can't say that I'm surprised we were popular to be watched... [She grimaces, hoping the scientists weren't taking notes when they were all in the bath. But who is she kidding, they probably were.] Have you seen any hint of our white-clad overlords?

[ He moves back and forth in the chair; it's a fun chair, he can't help it. Even if everything else in this room sucks. ]
Maybe the machine zapped 'em all outta here, but I don't buy that one really, either. That's an awful big coincidence.
no subject
[She's joking, of course. It would have been a bit more involved than a complaint box. They needed to answer for whatever they'd done and... where they'd gotten this machine.]
I don't think they were keen on escaping. This doesn't strike me as a place they couldn't get out of. And yet... no bodies, to indicate the fact that they didn't want to leave. Or at least, none that I've found...
/ominous laughter
[ He rubs his hand over his face and then slumps back in his seat, thinking. ]
Maybe the machine got mad at them, huh? [ It's a joke.
Because he doesn't realize the truth yet.]:o
[Which she isn't really looking forward to, because it's hard to say what's in here with them, but there really isn't much of an alternative? She's mostly kept to common areas today, however. She's still getting over not having access to her magic in the tunnels.]
You mean the scientists were lax with the candy and the late-night tales of terrorbytes? Shame on them.
[Yeah, okay, she's not proud of that pun.]
no subject
Maybe that's what did it. Bad puns. Scared 'em all out of here. Sent them running for the hills.
no subject
[She's joking, because her parents had senses of humor and they were scientists... but, well. Engineers are a different story.]
Perhaps I should have started sooner.
no subject
[ Ha ha? No, yes? Definitely no. ]
I've been hangin' around too many angels.
no subject
Do they all like to make puns? I thought that was just Balthazar.
no subject
[ Though it's interesting to hear Balthazar's making the rounds. He doesn't really consider the angels social butterflies -- well, Gabriel, but he's special -- but Balthazar makes sense. ]
Right, so, this place. Have you checked out the kitchen yet?
no subject
Yes. ...if you can call them kitchens. I suppose they technically fulfill all of the requirements.

I saw some Hungry Mans in the freezer. I'm happy.
no subject
[She can... boil water. That's pretty much it. And make toast.
But all thought pauses on that last part — Fortescue blinks, startled.]
You found men in the freezer?
no subject
Yeah, in a little plastic tray. They come with apple cobbler too. Just pop 'em in the microwave and they're good to go.
[ Will he explain for real? Yes, he'll get there, probably. In the meantime... ]
no subject
Of course, he's laughing.
And she really can't see you as a cannibal, Dean, though you never know...]
I hope I'm missing something big here. [She smirks.] Unless you like men with cobber on top.
no subject
TV dinners. The brand's Hungry Man.
no subject
I see. And it's exactly the same brand here?
[Now she's distracted, wondering about similarities between worlds and if these people originally came from Earth. Or maybe they are on an Earth, in the middle of nowhere.]
I suppose it's an apt name.
no subject
[ Which was a weird moment for him. Fruit meat? Meat fruit? He can't decide if that's ingenious or evil. ]
Never seen anything like that before in my life. There's some other stuff like that too.

They didn't know what to do with some of us; I remember in that thing that Stane found.
no subject
So another Earth, then? Which ones of us did they have problems with?
no subject
[ And Dean was not amused by that. Too many people have wanted to use him and his brother to fight their wars for them in the past. ]
no subject
She doesn't even like fighting. She only does her job to ensure the safety of someone else.]
They didn't expect us to come through at all, and then they decided to make use of us. Typical. I wonder where abandoning their own facility comes into play?
no subject
[ As much as he'd like to believe there's another secret tunnel out of here, he's less inclined to believe it. There might be, yeah, but now they're surrounded by so much weird shit that they could have portaled their way out or something. ]
