Dean Winchester | 008 | Video
Well, welcome to the other side.
[ Dean's been laying low since this place decided to turn into an episode of This Is Your Life, featuring some of his least favorite angels of all time, but after their stint in the tunnel, it seems kind of dumb. They know he's here, even if they didn't talk, and Dean knows they're here, and what the hell ever.
He's got stuff to say, anyway. He spins around in his chair, revealing the wall of monitors behind him, some of them showing feed from the Cape. ]
Now we get to see what life's like over here. Ever wonder what those cameras were hooked up to? [ He grins tightly. ] Found it. Lots of seats up here too to make it nice and cozy.
[ Dean's pissed, and it's thinly veiled, but he breaks off from that to look away and then back again. ]
Has anyone seen Charlie? Redhead, big nerd, game for miles. Tell her to call me.
[ She probably just got lost in the shuffle, right? (He can't even fool himself that much.) ]

So the freak show made a comeback?
[ He guesses that's one way for a bunch of legal monsters to make a living, but it sounds really sketchy and also dangerous. That many people shuffling in and out around monsters? ]
How do they keep those guys from going nuts on people?

[It kind of puts anyone who went through all the hard work to earn a college degree and choose a profession to shame. Pretty awful, actually.]
The Master of the City keeps a pretty tight leash on his people. ... the previous Master, not so much, but the current one likes being an entrepreneur and for the most part wants everyone working for him to do so within the confines of the law. Now and then there's a slip.
[She's caught most of them.]
But a lot of them are more afraid of me than they are of the cops. That's probably pretty smart of them, to be honest. The police aren't properly trained to deal with them yet. The department apparently thought cross-shaped tie-tacks would be enough.

They'll learn quick, once they start realizing they're getting nowhere fast. [ And then, suddenly, he's reminded of Henriksen. ]
Some of 'em might turn out to be good hunters. Who knows? [ He's more wistful than he was a second ago, but he tries to shake it off. ]

[But he's right about some of them making good hunters.]
I would kind of love to see the Sergeant take on a vampire with a sawed-off shotgun, personally. Man's all business. The vamp would be shaking in their designer boots.
mind if we wrap this up? <3
Sending people in without training is dangerous. I hope they get some money sent their way.
By all means! <3
[Helps when she has to behead chickens, but that's a story for another time.]
I hope so, too. Sooner rather than later. I've probably kept you long enough, though -- I'm sure you've got friends and family to check in on, considering we're all still getting settled over here.
