Video & Action ⊱ Day 142
[ When the feed begins, it focuses on the face of a young boy, barely that of a teenager. He takes a second to ensure that the phone is recording and, when he's certain it is, he breaks out into a small, pleased grin. ]
Ah! It does indeed function exactly like a Starkphone! Most excellent!
[ Then he tilts his head to the side, considering the phone and everything else along with it. He'd been told he was never to exist again. Total annihilation was required in order to save the lives of billions of people.
And this place? Well, it looks fairly existence-y to him. But he says none of that. Instead, he says this: ]
I've not heard of the lands of Cape Kore. In what realm to they hail? For, you see, I must return to Asgardia with great haste. I assure you, it is a matter of major importance that can not be ignored. So, if you could point me the way home, I would be most grateful.
Although, failing that, the internet would not go amiss. Is there no wi of fi here?

[He can do derision too, after all. Including when it's totally not warranted.]
Back in his good books, are you? [But then, maybe that's not so surprising if-] Don't tell me, let me guess - in your bizarro version of Asgard, he's your brother? Or maybe your world's more inventive still. Maybe he's your dad.

Unless you are the Serpent. [ He looks the other up and down, as much as he can in the feed. ] In which case, you looked a great deal different the last we met, Mr. Serpent.
[ Boredom. That's what Loki looks with this conversation. ]
It would be hard, I think, to get out of Thor's good books. After all, he was the one who brought me back, despite the protests of many and despite all the evil I have done.
[ He raises an eyebrow, curious now. ]
In what world are Loki and Thor not brothers?
no subject
[But it's best not to bring in any discussion of Lucifer here. It'd only complicate things.]
Sounds like you're close, huh? [A split-second of envy, but it's repressed very quickly.] They aren't brothers in my world. Loki and Odin are brothers by oath - that's as close as we get to the Jeremy Kyle-worthy mess every other world seems to have going on.

[ He makes a face at this new information. ]
Loki and Odin? Brothers? [ He looks simultaneously disgusted and horrified at the very idea. ] I sincerely doubt Odin would ever consent to such a a thing. All-Mother knows just know much he has regretted becoming father to Loki.

[After all, three Lokis is too many. Any number of Lokis is too many, really.]
Yeah, well. If you're anything like my world's Loki, Mother frickin' Teresa wouldn't want to deal with that kind of responsibility. But brothers don't have to take responsibility, just advantage. [Which is a harsh and unfair way of putting it, given how much trouble Loki has caused for Odin, but there's a little bit of truth in it all the same.] Loki may not be the easiest to get along with, but he sure can be useful.

[ God of mischief and chaos he may be, but he is still a prince and he can act like one. Sometimes. When he feels like it. ]
I assure you, the only time I took advantage of Thor was for the good of the realms.
[ He pauses, considering his words for a moment before continuing. ]
Besides, he didn't stay dead nearly as long, that time.

[Gabriel, on the other hand, cannot act like an angel. Even when he'd like to... not that this is one of those times.]
Taking advantage of Thor's hard not to do. He's got a skull thick as a redwood. [Despite the careful answer, though, Gabriel's curosity is piqued.] 'This time'?
no subject
[ Especially since his care for actually being a good person, this time around, was pretty rock solid. ]
Aye, 'this time'. Thor had to die when the Serpent attacked, did he not? Through a series of amusing and quite fortunate events, Thor came back.
Then I drowned him in a pit of lava.
[ No big deal. ]
