Video & Action ⊱ Day 142
[ When the feed begins, it focuses on the face of a young boy, barely that of a teenager. He takes a second to ensure that the phone is recording and, when he's certain it is, he breaks out into a small, pleased grin. ]
Ah! It does indeed function exactly like a Starkphone! Most excellent!
[ Then he tilts his head to the side, considering the phone and everything else along with it. He'd been told he was never to exist again. Total annihilation was required in order to save the lives of billions of people.
And this place? Well, it looks fairly existence-y to him. But he says none of that. Instead, he says this: ]
I've not heard of the lands of Cape Kore. In what realm to they hail? For, you see, I must return to Asgardia with great haste. I assure you, it is a matter of major importance that can not be ignored. So, if you could point me the way home, I would be most grateful.
Although, failing that, the internet would not go amiss. Is there no wi of fi here?

You know me.
[He studies the boy for a moment, the name 'Loki' poised at the very tip of his tongue and wanting to come forth, but it cannot be, unless this is some new disguise meant to toy with him. Yet this boy reminds him so much of Loki in his younger days -- he can't help but think this must be some trick meant to play upon his sympathies.]
Tell me. [He pauses, making an effort to soften his voice just a little, make himself just a touch less aggressive.] Who are you?
Never has there been a time where Thor did not know Loki. After all, Thor knew Loki was Loki even before he knew he was Loki; back when he was living on the streets of Paris, pick-pocketing tourists to survive and having nightmares about his past. It has been Thor who had shown up, chased him down and shown him who he truly was and brought him back to, what had then been, Asgard.
The look of confusion, bewilderment -- and yes, even a bit of hurt -- is painfully honest on his young face. What had happened that could make Thor, the strongest warrior in all of Asgarida, forget his brother? ]
It is I, Loki. Your brother.
You are not quite as tall as I remember you.
[Though his own Loki has often referred to him as thick, he's not so obtuse that he cannot tell this boy is injured by his not knowing, by his not being bold enough to act on what he thought might be true.
Surely he will understand. Whatever is going on here, it cannot be so simple as that.]
I am afraid I don't understand, friend.
Aye. And you, taller.
[ But, even still, Thor does not remember. Friend, he said, instead of brother.
Even when Thor had not been Thor, but had known who Loki was. And so, if this Thor does not know who Loki is, there is only one explanation. This Thor is not Thor.
He crosses his arms. ]
You claim to be Thor, yes? Warrior of Asgardia, God of Thunder and son of Odin?
[He frowns. It's a simple answer, but he's never found the need for excess in that department. He, after all, was not the brother known for his silver tongue, but for his prowess, his presence on the battlefield. While not as witless as his own Loki would have others believe, he was not overly fond of needless complications, whether with language or otherwise.]
Son of Odin the All-Father, Warrior-Prince of Asgard, bringer of thunder and the one deemed worthy of the power of Mjölnir.
[Is there much more to be said?]
