The Outsider ~ Video

[The feed flickers on to... hey! A new face on the network! It's obvious from the scenery behind the newcomer that he's by the fountain in the middle of town. It's also obvious that he's fairly confused and most likely turned on the video by accident and is still trying to digest the short spiel that his talking watch just gave him. His face ducks down on the video slightly, black eyes narrowing, as he inspects the thing on his wrist. Abruptly, the screen shakes as he pushes it with a finger, trying to test whether it will say anything else.

The camera shakes and pitches as he gets to his feet and brushes himself off and then the feed cuts.]

[He looks blankly surprised that noise has once again come from the thing on his wrist... once again without him really knowing why it did.]

Your personal space? [He echoes her, but doesn't really seem to understand what she's trying to tell him not to do. He also doesn't want to admit that he's completely confused by just about everything going on right now.]

Where... [Honestly, there's so many questions he can't even decide on the one to ask first.] Who are you? And how... [He touches the device on his wrist.] Are you another recording? [At least he knows what those are, though he's only ever seen voice recordings, but it isn't too much of a stretch to assume that humans found some clever little way of recording images as well as sound.]

[Okay, she is so not helping. Poor guy has a severe case of whatthefuckitis and she's making it worse. Deep breath. Sloooowly.]

[Grills and bubbles... it didn't help as far as an explanation of what she'd been talking about went, but he didn't really let it show in his expression.

He quietly absorbed the other information she gave him, though there was no way he could really grasp just how stuck they were.]

No one knows who summoned us here? [Maybe an odd choice of words, but the only time he ever got stuck anywhere was when someone summoned him somewhere and got him stuck.]

The person who spoke before... [The camera shakes as he motions toward his bracelet, referring to the little 'welcome' message that it spouted out to all of them]... are they also stuck here?

My name? I'm called The Outsider, Kenzi.

[Summoned? Hmmm.]

Not yet. We're workin' on it. And... we don't know that, either.

[What-- ... Because THAT'S not ominous as all fuck.]

Ooookay. The Outsider. Nice to meet you!? There's some empty houses around that you can crash in. Food, warm bed, clothes, everything you need except the good kind of technology. Also, there are cameras.

[Crash? Why would he want to crash into a house?] There are good and bad technology? [He seems genuinely curious about this, even tilting his head slightly to watch her.]

What is camera? [Some kind of crazy creature??]

[Because the only other excuse for these kinds of questions is living under a freakin' rock. Excuse Kenzi while she just ... stares.]

The past relative to whom? Is it unusual to not know what camera is?

As relative to everyone alive right the hell now! Yes! Very unusual. Incredibly unusual. Cameras are cameras! The film stuff and take pictures and record images and George A. Romero uses them to make the greatest zombie movies ever. But you probably don't know what movies are either, so never mind that part.

... Do you legit want people to call you The Outsider? Also, you should be really careful around here. It tends to get dangerous.

Hmm, well, I am alive right now as well, therefore I'm unsure how I can be from the past. [He points out and is silent through her spiel about cameras. He's quiet a minute, processing it all before asking his question.] Are they a group of people?

The Outsider is the only thing close to a name that I have. It's what I've always been called. [He says with a nonchalant shrug. He could care less what people called him.]

Dangerous? How so? [Is that a hint of a smirk? Yeeep.]

[Another voice coming through the thing on his wrist, based on what Kenzi has told him this must be another real person who is stuck here somewhere.]

That's how just about everyone here got here. [Offers a basket.] Muffin?

[Kenzi just... stares. She actually can't argue with that logic. Damn.]

No, they're things. Equipment. Technology. In this case, they would be the bad kind. As for the name thing... we're gonna have to work on that. [How the fuck do you get a nickname out of that?]

WELL! Since you asked and everything. People got attacked by wolves, kidnapped by some dudes, a bunch vanished into thin air, and then some crazy son of a monkeybaby popped outta some box and went around bashing people's heads against stuff and threatening everyone!

[He blinks at the extended basket of muffins, face blank. He's really not sure what to do.] I'm not very hungry. [He says, almost apologetically.]

[Kurt seems undeterred, lowering the basket and shaking his head.] Ohio. I got here a couple weeks ago.

Things. I see. And they take pictures? Your likeness is on this thing on my wrist. Is that a camera? [He's trying, Kenzi!]

Wolves, kidnappers and someone attacking people? It sounds... rather interesting. [He's made up his mind. He likes it here.]

Ohio. [By the way he repeats it lets the word roll around in his mouth it's obvious he's never heard of it.] And you are? [He looks over Kurt with great curiosity.]

Yeah. It has a camera on it and is filming me and then showing you the video. Comprende? That's about it as far as electronics around here.

[Interesting? All that sounds INTERESTING?! She can't tell if she likes the guy or should be incredibly concerned.]

Are your eyes naturally that colour?

[He nods after a moment, trying to tuck the foreign words away for later. His focused look shifts into the hint of amusement at the unexpected question.] They are.

[He's not sure what the word means, but there's a smile, so he guesses it's good.

Sleeping like a mortal, in a bed, in a house, doesn't sound very appealing, but he can't seem to get back to the Void at the moment. Since he's stuck here, he might as well be comfortable.] Where would you suggest, Miss Kenzi?
