It's an offer you won't get twice, and if I have to personally take out anyone who tries anything on with him, I will. Just a heads up, gang.

[He's not sure that he isn't blowing his cover in doing this, but right now that's a secondary concern. Primary concern is whether people will actually listen to him, especially given who he is. He's hoping so - this arrangement is fragile enough that one impulsive hero type could ruin it, and there's altogether too many of those in this place.]

He doesn't care about non-humans. Okay? All he wants is to eradicate the human race. And trust me, he could. He could destroy every human here with a snap of his fingers, and most of the rest too. Back home he killed about ten gods without batting an eyelid. He doesn't care about how significant a player is, because next to him? We're all small fry.

[And, okay, that's a slightly inaccurate explanation of Lucifer's motivations, but this isn't about sympathy for the devil, this is about keeping people from putting themselves in his path. Making them feel sorry for him would probably not help with that goal.]

He's agreed not to hurt my pets if I keep 'em on a leash. His phrasing, not mine. I don't know if that means anyone who acts out'll be killed, or if one person deciding to ding dong ditch him'll get us a massacre on our hands. And frankly, I don't fancy finding out.
