[Private Audio to Sharon; it's turned into action at the bar, so OTA :)]
Back.
Needa see you.
[He sounds a little worse for wear and he's back slightly earlier than planned.]

Same place as last time?

I'll be waiting for ya.

[Sharon lives nearby, and she's there in less than a minute. She slows when she gets inside to allow her eyes to adjust to the dimness, and goes to take a seat beside him.]
You okay?

[Logan shrugs and tips his beer back. At least the booze and food is free. He looks like he got sucked under a few industrial lawn mowers and spit back out, but it's Logan, so despite the fairly shredded clothing and the traces of dried blood, he's completely fine.]
'M fine. [He takes another long drink, trying to sort out what he should tell her first. There's honestly not much to tell, just bad news.]
First off, they have cameras out there. I spotted at least a handful of them in the trees. No tellin' how many I didn't see.
No trace of anyone out there, no scent, no nothing. There were a few birds and... shit like that. So... I guess we can't be completely closed off, not sure how that works.
I didn't get very far before I was attacked.
They were nice enough to knock me out and carry me back to the edge of the forest though. [He adds in a grumble.]

[Sharon leans against the bar and runs a hand through her hair.]
The seawater is likely acidic. I haven't gotten it officially tested yet, but I don't think the scientist who told me was lying. So you'll have to tell your friend Kurt - who's been asking about you, by the way - that seafood might not be the safest thing to eat.
Natasha is awake, too. There are two of her. One that we think is from our world, and another, from Coulson's and Barton's and Steve's world. And Banner's. I don't know how Natasha'a conditioning got triggered, though, whether it was here or back home or not. She's staying at my place.
[She rubs her temples.] What attacked you, what did they have, and how many were there? [Maybe, if they can fight them together... That was what the Avengers were for, wasn't it?]
no subject
Wait. Awake? I spoke to her a bit on the first day. She seemed... on edge. More than she shoulda been. What 'condition' are ya talkin' about? Her and I are, I guess you'd say, 'close'. She was acting strange, but I didn't push it.
[He downs the rest of his beer as he tries to put what attacked him into words.] Robot-mechanical-metal bears. They had a lot of sharp edges. A lot. But they weren't adamantium. [He adds a slight smirk at that.] I cut through... maybe four or five, but their didn't seem to be a shortage of 'em.
no subject
So we've got metal bears in the woods. I wonder what they've got in the sea. Iron Man piranhas?
[She leans against the bar.] We could actually use Stark.
[Though if there's a Steve here, there's likely some version of Stark trying to get them all back home. Stark loved Steve, in a way. Sharon suspected it was a form of addiction.]
I'm guessing they were fast. [He'd only managed to take out four or five of them, after all. On the other hand, Sharon's fighting style is different.]
no subject
Fast, yea. They were big. Big, strong, and full of pointy things.
[He pauses and scratches his fingers through the stubble on his neck.] I think our bigger problem is... whoever is keeping us here knows us. They also know a lot about sedatives. I was out for another couple of hours, and not cause of the bears. [It really was becoming a problem; no one can win a fight when they're tranquilized.]
no subject
[She takes a sip of her beer as she thinks. To be able to Logan out for so long... And there was no way to test it, really. Let's say they'd had him on something of an IV drip, hidden in his clothes, and that had kept him drugged until it had run out of anaesthesia, then fallen out. One small puncture wound would have healed almost right away. But if it had fallen out and gotten stuck in his clothes...]
Did you find anything in your clothes after? Something that could have injected you that was rigged to stick around for a while? Or wherever you woke up?
no subject
Not unless it's still on me. [His clothes were mostly in shreds, it certainly seemed unlikely.] I checked the area when I got up, no scent again. Nothing.
no subject
[And stares at him.]
[And stares at him.]
Want me to turn around while you look?
no subject
I didn't mean I was gonna strip. Sorry to get you all excited fer nothin'.
Unless you wanted to check? [The come on is laced with a teasing, amused tone, but the Logan wasn't really one to back down when challenged.]
no subject
Why not? Most of your skin has grown back, after all. You've been drinking. There's no place without cameras.
[Speaking of cameras...]
Or probably not. I can see that being used against us in the future. I'm sure you can check on your own. You're a big boy. You probably know how to do lots of things on your own.
In all seriousness, though, Logan. Thanks. [And no, that isn't easy for her to say.]
no subject
All of my skin has grown back, thank you very much. Hours ago. [He grunted as if that was the thing he was most offended by.] An' as for excuses to strip, I've never needed alcohol for that. [He teased with a wink. Had that really just happened? He and Sharon 'Captain-America's-fucking girlfriend' Carter had just flirted? He felt a glint of guilt and downed the rest of his beer, clearing his throat and making no move to strip.]
Used against us? [Interesting choice of words, what exactly had she foreseen happening? His focus flickered back to her, looking her over like he was both sizing her up and trying to figure out exactly what was going through her head at her words. Her sudden shift to gratitude saved him.]
Not a problem, darlin'. It's what I do.
no subject
I'm wondering what they'll do with the footage. I wouldn't put it past them to release it to cause drama if we're around long enough. And when that happens, no offense, I don't want it getting around that I made you take off your clothes.
[She sighs and leans back against the bar.] We can't leave by land. We likely can't leave by sea.
We'll just have to think of something else. [Lure them out, perhaps?]
no subject
Who here would care if they did play footage like that? [He grunted and shrugged it off, letting the conversation turn back to their captors.]
Maybe they have telepaths, someone who can move things like the beds an' the food with telekinetic powers, but remotely, very remotely? Might explain the lack of scent. Robots was another thought. They're obviously using sedatives on us... Maybe if we had a few people on watch... a few people who sat far away, up in their annoying lil nests. [He was pretty sure he'd heard Hawkeye's name being tossed around.] I wonder what happens if one of us gets real sick or badly injured... close to death. If they'll save 'em or not.
no subject
I think they'd rather have footage of me and Natasha taking our clothes off.
[She gets what he means about Hawkeye and gives a faint nod of understanding. She'll look into it.]
Natasha was pretty badly injured after our fight, but I guess not badly enough. Maybe we can find someone else.
Maybe I'll have a go at those mechanical bears.
no subject
[He shoots her a glare when she mentions volunteering.] Don't even joke about that shit, Shar.
no subject
I wasn't actually joking, Logan. I can't anyone else out who might get injured, and I'd get a look at those bears of yours.
Who knows. Maybe I'll get farther than you did. [And the grin is back, though it holds little mirth.]
no subject
Don't be stupid. We can't afford to lose anyone. [He snarled under his breath, getting up angrily and nearly knocking his stool over. He grabbed another beer and flicked the cap off, sending the metal top flying into the bar somewhere where it clattered and disappeared.]
I ain't tellin' you what you can and can't do, but don't be stupid. You dying won't help any of us.
no subject
[And she won't send anyone else out to take a risk like this. But she won't be stupid about it. She'll wait until things are more settled and they can afford to spare her.]
no subject
Do me a favor an' keep me out of the loop when you decide to do that. [He growled. There was no use getting frustrated at Sharon, she was headstrong, Logan knew that much, and if she'd made up her mind about something there was little he could do to change it.]
no subject
She grins.]
Have you talked to any of the others yet? The Avengers we know but don't know?
no subject
'M not sure what the point is. Is the term 'mutant' even in their vocabulary? Why talk to 'em unless I have to. [Ever the social butterfly.]
no subject
[private]
Yeah. And this Banner has apparently had a controlled episode. If it comes to a point, we may be able to use him. [That sounded cold.] If he doesn't go after everything he sees, it'll be... better for everyone.
no subject
Hmm, well, the Hulk... you can talk to him, get him to cooperate... a bit. As long as you don't piss him off. They're both useful. I've worked with 'em. Well, where we're from, I have.
no subject
I'm more looking forward to dealing with Banner. I'll let Steve handle the Hulk. I think we both know I'm not diplomatic enough to deal with a rage monster. [That, and Sharon is bossy. It's a side effect of her military life; she can't help it.]
