[The wearer is obviously unaware that the thing on their wrist is recording anything. The image moves with their arm. It's a bedroom. There's a brief flash of another person and then the screen fills with a glow.]

'Cas, what the hell.'

[Now, there are trees and a road. The wearer starts to run. There's a glint of something long and metallic in his hand. There's a crash somewhere and they stop cold, panting harshly.

They move towards the sound slowly until finally it's revealed to be a squirrel.]

... How? Dean?!

[ Dean had shielded his eyes when Cas had decided to take a trip. He'd been radio silent while he watched over his friend. Jo was here. Sam seemed to be living in the past. And Cas was in a coma. The hunter's mind had went to the fact that it was probably a side-effect from being ditched back in Purgatory. Dean had no one there to blame but himself.

And that's what he was doing. Until Cas woke up. ]

Where the hell do you think you're taking your feathery ass, Cas? [ Dean was already running out the door. ]

[Castiel's brow creased and he looked down at his wrist, beard still bushy from his time in Purgatory.]

Dean?

[It's not right. Something's not right. Dean went home. He knows Dean did. He remembers the feeling of Dean's fingers slipping from his own.]

What is this? How are you talking to me?

[saltline]

[ Dean tries to use what's behind Cas to figure out where the hell he popped off too. ]

The Brady Bunch is still trying to figure that part out. But you're not in Purgatory anymore as far as I can tell. No demons, ghouls, or leviathans. [ Meaning: You can relax now. Dean was still pretty...not happy Cas had ditched him. Good intentions and all, but...it had been tough. ]

How? [He's looking around anxiously now.] You left, Dean. You left without me. How did you get me out?

[saltline]

Cas... [ Well, thanks for reminding him. ]

I've got no idea. This place is fucked up...Sam's here. Jo's here. Gabriel's here. I didn't do anything to ge-- [ Admitting was the first step in not helping the situation. ] Why the Hell did you blink away like that?

[He wants to ask about Jo and Gabriel, but he's too caught up on Dean's question.]

You don't remember? Dean, I told you that I did that to keep you safe.

[saltline]

[ Oh...that. ]

Shouldn't your Spidey senses go off and tell you there's nothing here?

[ Dean's headed off in one direction...hoping that Cas is in it. For all he knows, it's not. ] We're in Pleasantville, Cas. Not Purgatory. I don't need to be kept safe.

[He leans against a tree.] Waking up was... disorienting. What is the last thing you remember?

[ Yep. You really need to be careful with those recordings, crazy man! ]

Easy there, tiger. You don't need to take the Bear Grylls approach just yet.

While I'm sure everyone appreciates the effort, I don't think that little rodent is going to feed the entire village.

[hearing Cas' voice, Sam starts packing up the stuff he was reading in the library. He is tempted to break his radio silence, but instead just heads out towards the road to look for his friend he's starting to remember where everything is. When he finds Cas, he waves a bit]

Cas, it's me. Good to see you're finally awake.

I don't understand that reference.

I was more concerned that we would feed it.

[He still sounds agitated and somewhat disoriented.]

Why on earth would you want to feed vermin?

[He's sporting a lovely beard and an incredibly concerned look.]

[Castiel is much dirtier than Sam remembers, his beard grown out and his posture a little hunched.]

Sam? Then I really did get out... [He smiles a little.] It's good to see you.

[Which is to say, Gabriel wants his questions answered and doesn't give a flying fuck about Castiel's.]

Aren't you supposed to be strapped to a hospital bed somewhere? [He tilts his head.] Somewhere where they have razors and baths, for example.

Well, you may have. Or this could still just be the Trickster's little tv world and he just hasn't revealed the plot of the story yet we're supposed to play.

[he looked at Cas, raising an eyebrow]

I didn't realize angels could grow beards.

[He's not sure if he should point out that he doesn't eat.]

I thought it was something else. Something bigger.

[Castiel rolls his eyes. It's not as if he expects a straight answer from Gabriel about anything, but it might be nice some time.]

I was supposed to be trapped in Purgatory. Alone. I have no clue how I got out.

[Castiel's brow furrows. Could Gabriel have done something to Sam's memories?]

The beard isn't... Sam, where do you think I was trapped?
