It seems everyone's had quite the morning, so I'll keep this brief. If any of you think you might be the kind of powered up that can help figure out exactly what it is people are turning into, let me know.

As someone [ see Gabriel, re: griping announcement earlier ] has mentioned already, there's something weird going on here. We're human now, completely, and Balthazar....
[ All in good time. ]

Obviously it's a little harder to keep in touch now, but are you all okay so far? No broken bones, stubbed toes, fatal injuries? Keep in touch, okay?

Gabriel thinks that whoever holds sway in this place is responsible for what's happened to him, and by proxy, I'm assuming you as well.

[ Lucifer doesn't know what's going on with Balthazar either. Or Raphael. He's been avoiding all of them and couldn't be bothered to keep up with current events. ]

Do you also believe this?

I, uh... I'm not human either.

[But he still looks human, and he's still acting like himself, so that's good.

...right?]

Downgraded? How ethnocentric of you, love. [For a moment he sounds like himself, but it breaks apart quickly.]

I don't feel any weaker. Stronger, maybe. Just poorly controlled.

A situation? [It's a good thing he only has the audio on, else Anna might think it's strange time to be wearing a smile.] You don't say.

What's goin' on, babydoll?

[ She's clearly stressed out when the reply comes, enough so that it doesn't even occur to her that the audio response is a little suspicious. She's just relieved - he sounds alright, after all, so he must be right? ]

Betting you've realised there's some serious stuff going down this morning by now, huh? [ She rubs a hand over her face - she looks tired, which in itself is a major indicator that something isn't right with her. ] I'm, well. Human. I forgot how easily damaged you guys are.

[ And it's not her proudest moment, delivered hesitantly and through slightly gritted teeth, but it's not like she can do it herself any more. The wound on her arm isn't exactly going anywhere now. ]

...How are you at first aid?

Balthazar is dangerous. Stay away from him until we figure this out. Even if you were still an angel, he would be dangerous.

[ He sighs. ]

I'm not human, either, but I think I'm... less dangerous than he is by a good deal.

It seems like the most likely scenario. It's not like they haven't messed with us all here before.

[ Maybe she's being unreasonably hopeful to think that Lucifer might help with this situation, but she's going to keep thinking that anyway. If he wanted her dead he would have done it by now, and while she's done a relatively good job of staying off the radar so far, he's still a brother

Maybe it's been too long. Maybe she shouldn't still question whether or not that bond is important to him any more, but she's closing ranks on the family, and yes, he's still included in that. After all, she has far more reason to fear Raphael these days, and even he got included.

Humanity is tiring though, already she's showing signs of wear, and she rubs slightly at her eyes before continuing. ]

...I need help. I can't do much for any of them, not like this. Humans are so- well, flimsy. I can't even tell what they are.

[ Oh my God Dean she can't even with this right now. ]

Please don't put Nair in his shampoo. When this fixes itself he's going to gun for you so hard, you know that.

[ See look, this is her nice voice Dean. Don't make her life even more difficult, she doesn't need a cat fight between Gabriel and Castiel to get between any time soon. ]

Jesse? Are you alright? [ Her mind immediately jumps straight to awful, naturally. It's not like these things are ever fun. ] What's happened to you?

Yeah? That makes one of us. [ It's lighthearted, even comes delivered with a slight smile and everything, but the way she keeps eyeing her surroundings carefully probably makes it obvious that she's not all that amused. ]

I can't....I can't tell what any of them are. Balthazar, something's going on with him, something bad.

Might be a little late on that advice, but thanks anyway.

[ And she gives him the most grim, tightly wound smile she can manage as she lifts her arm enough into view of the video to show the crudely bandaged bite on her arm. ]

Me and Gabriel, we're human. One hundred per cent Graceless. I think the only one left is Lucifer, actually.

[ And doesn't that just make things extra interesting. She lets out a soft huff of air to match Castiel's, casting her eyes upwards for a moment before shaking her head. Things sure got stressful fast. ]

What do you mean less dangerous? What's happened to you?

That's- that's not what I meant. [ She doesn't exactly mean to sound terse, but it's been one hell of a day. ]

Look, someone around here has to know. I'll figure it out, okay? Then we can work on fixing whatever mess that's been made here.

[ It's supposed to be a joke, delivered with a weak laugh and a rub of the back of her neck (and for those paying attention, a lovely view of the badly wrapped bite wound on her arm) but it falls so incredibly short. She just can't quite muster the energy for it, and instead just gives a shrug. ]

Gabriel said something similar. I suppose it's something you'll have to get used to until this lets up. The going theory is it's more mind games from the people keeping us here. It's not the first time something like this has happened.

[ And have a super awkward pause before she continues, because it feels very weird having this conversation with him. ]

Be careful, okay? Not everyone comes back here when they die.

I know you didn't. At least I can joke?

[He still feels awful about biting her, and yet he can't seem to forget how her blood tasted. This can't get fixed fast enough.]

An archangel should know, if anyone does. I'm trying to stay inside.

I'm...I'm sorry, Anna.

[ He lets that hang for a few seconds, saying nothing while he mulls over her words. She and Gabriel are human. Raphael, Balthazar, and Castiel are something else, though they are not angels. Others have been affected, though they are human and beneath his notice. Whatever the cause, it lies with those who brought them all here in the first place.

Or such is the prevalent belief. ]

What help, precisely, do you need, Anna? I offered you my aid once before, without prompting, I might add, and you turned me down. Now you ask on your own, and for what exactly? Yourself and the rest of the dysfunctional family? Or for them?

[ He trusts that the them doesn't need definition. ]

Yeah, no, m'fine. [ The grin is obvious in his voice. ] I can smell a whole bunch of stuff, and hear things - I dunno, I got fangs sometimes? And I'm real warm. Feels good, though.

[ Like she would so much as dare ask him for help with the humans. The events of the day might have made her more irrational than usual, but she's not stupid. She's desperate enough to ask for help when normally her pride couldn't handle a blow like that, and she's praying to a God that doesn't listen any more that Lucifer cares just enough to come to her aid. ]

Not for them, for...the siblings. [ She pauses for a moment, letting out a slow breath, and then powers on a little faster. ] If I know what they are, it might help figure out how to deal with this until a better solution is found.

[ And that's her best pitch, that's all she's got. She stops again, collects herself a little and closes her eyes a moment before giving a loose shrug. ]

I'm sorry. When you first arrived, I didn't know what it meant, and I was scared, and I panicked. I still am scared, I'm not going to lie to you, but...this isn't about making my life better if we go back home, this is about surviving the next few days and- [ Her lips curve into something that probably should resemble a smile, but it's tense and wry. She's worried. ] I think Balthazar could do some serious damage.

Shame they were never funny.

[ Hey look, at least he managed to get a weak laugh from her, right? It's just, every time she thinks about those teeth it sets her on edge all over again. ]

Master of negotiations, right here. Pulling every string I've got, and some I don't too, so just- don't eat anyone while I'm doing that, okay?

[ That's supposed to be a joke too, even gets delivered with a grin and a chuckle, but it dies quickly and she just gives him a slightly sad smile instead. ]

Don't be. It's not you, I know that.

[ Maybe it's simple, but that's okay. Jet's a pretty simple person. ] Are you alright, Anna?

Hang on, I'll be- [ No, wait. No she won't. She won't be anywhere because she can't just appear places any more. Sigh. ] Never mind. Fangs sometimes? Are you...a vampire or something?

[ The video shows the face of someone who is clearly anything but alright. She hasn't slept since the event first hit so she's naturally exhausted by now, not to mention the events of the morning coupled with the shock of the injury have left Anna a shadow of her normal self.

Not that she's going to admit to any of that, because goddamnit she is not fragile. ]

Just fine, Jet. There's just, a few problems back at the ranch. [ She smiles, and she's so, so tired but she can't sleep yet. There's too much to do, too many painfully stressful conversations to have, and on top of all that she has to try and make sure that Balthazar doesn't actually eat anyone. Somehow. Without him actually eating her. ]

He's a leviathan.

[Centuries upon centuries ago, when he left Heaven and relocated to the human world, he had imposed several self-governing rules upon himself. They were, among other things: 1) Omnipotence and omniscience were not to be used unless strictly necessary, and 2) He can't reveal anything beyond what the prophet Chuck has legitimately seen, heard, or read.

It's the second rule that he breaks when he tells Anna what, exactly, Balthazar is. Yet, he actually has no idea that Dean and Castiel know what Balthazar is, since that important and helpful information had been kept from him. But leviathans were dangerous and destructive. They were not something that should be dealt with by ignorance.]

[ Lucifer neither forgives nor forgets, and the slights and insults delivered upon him by his family are myriad. He owes them nothing. After everything they've done, he believes that he, as the injured party, is the one to whom much is owed.

Yet there is a difference between a family that cannot coexist without squabbling and one filled with hate and vengeance. They may have turned their backs on him, but he remembers what it is to be an angel. He remembers what family means. ]

Our kind has fought and died at the behest of one who never deserved our loyalty and our love, and I suspect will continue to do so until there are no more angels in Heaven or anywhere else. I've been a pawn in that war, much to my irritation, but I'll not be in this one.

The angels, or whatever they're calling themselves today, will not come to harm. Not while I'm here.

[ And in case that's a little too vague, he spells it out for her. ]

Help granted.

[ Oh, Anna. Jet can definitely tell how terrible things are right now, and like hell is he going to just let that happen. He immediately looks concerned - look, his crew is full of boys who don't know when to say they're not okay - and if he could do it without screwing up the video, he'd cross his arms over his chest. ]

A few problems. [ :| ] Of course. And just how much help do you need right now? [ Don't lie to him, he'll be very cross. ]

[ Oh, Jet. How she'd love to take someone up on that offer right now. As it is, she just leans back against the wall behind her for support and shakes her head quickly. ]

Just a few. It's manageable, I've got it under control. [ Good joke, Anna. This is the farthest from 'in control' it could possibly be. For a moment her resolve slips, her eyes close and she covers her face with her free hand. The bandaged handiwork just about visible is a lot tidier than it had been earlier, but by no means perfect, and the brief flicker of pain when she moves her arm just a little too much is hard to miss.

...And just like that she's back, gritting her teeth a little and working a smile onto her face. ] Please. I'm sure there's a lot to handle right now. I'm handling it.
