[She's walking near the rotten piers, looking at her wrist. Her wings behind her are fluttering in the slight breeze.]

I was wondering if anyone had seen any barbecues around? It's cold, but I'm from Boston, so we're used to winter barbecuing.

[She trips and falls forward.]

Ow, what's -

[Her wrist twists as she scrambles away screaming in that high-pitched horror movie way. There's a brief flash of legs and then a flare of fire as the wooden piers catch behind her.

She's framed in flame, staring at the half a body.]

HUNTERS!

Looks like you won't be needing that barbecue, honey. That there bonfire oughtta do the trick just fine. Precision cooking might be kinda tricky with those flames as out of control as they are, so [in a terrible Australian accent:] throwing some shrimp on the barbie [and back to his usual generic Southern:] might be outta the question just now, but if you got some marshmallows, I'm sure we could make good use of them.

[She's not like any creature Dilandau's ever seen before. He was poised to pepper her with questions about what she was until she tripped over her discovery.

He barks a quick order.]

Stop shrieking, woman, or you'll be the next to be caught.

[She's not sure how to take that.]

I... I can fly. They can't... There weren't supposed to be hunters here. Except the one, and he's easy to avoid and...

[It breaks off in a whimper as she covers her mouth with her hand, still staring at the body.]

The pier's on fire. Didja notice?

[Except she can't stop it because... dead body. She's curled up close to the fire, still staring at the body anyway.]

[She's going to get sick.]

There's a... There's half a body. And I tripped over the legs, and that means there's hunters here and I'm alone.

[She's not crying, but it's a near thing.]

[He sighs. This is less fun when the person he's trying to aggravate and/or bewilder is traumatised.]

Might wanna move away from the corpse, honey, you think? I doubt it's dangerous, but it probably smells gross and looks gross and generally is gross, so... yeah. Leave it for the birds. Or the morticians, I guess.

[He really hates the sound of upset women, but that fire of hers... he wants it badly]

Are the hunters men or demons? If they can bleed, I can kill them for you.

[Too bad it'll go away because it's not hers.]

The one here... his name is Dean. I didn't know he had a sword, or anything to do this and St. Raphael said he wouldn't... But... oh no. Stiles.

I can't leave. I can't control the fire and it might set the entire town on fire.

[And then no one would have a house and she'd feel guilty and all the Hail Mary's in the world won't solve that.]

I... I don't want to bother them, or worry everyone. It's better if I stay away until I can get a handle on it. Thank you, though. I just... The poor person. No one deserves that. No matter what hunters think.

Dean? He might not have a sword, but I do. Get off of that pier before it collapses. He won't kill you if I decide you're going to live.

[If she's not too traumatised to notice, his smile is very predatory. A good fight with a strong enemy would be just up his alley]

[Ifritah, thank you very much. She glances backward and then shifts. She's not on the dock. She crouches in the lack of shadows and her camera spins for a moment before settling.

Her hair's come loose of the knot she put it in and the flames are writhing around her head.]

St. Raphael said he wouldn't but this person... What could they have done to him to need to be bifurcated?

What makes you think a hunter did this? Don't get me wrong, I'm not disagreeing with you, hunters are - generally speaking - great big bags of dicks, I wouldn't put it past them.

[She licks her lips, still staring at the body. She's frozen and can't look away.]

Back home, they hunt us. And that's their calling card. Leaving us cut in half, in some out of the way place to be found by the rest of our family.

[...ouch. He doesn't usually give too many fucks about 'monsters', unless he's the monster in question, and he's done worse to people by far, but family will always be a sore spot. He doesn't want to even imagine how that would feel. Wincing slightly, he switches to a private channel.]

'Us' being... what, exactly? Vamps? Zombies? Little green men from Mars? Can't say you look much like either of the latter, but maybe you're a master of disguise.

[She shivers and closes her eyes. She knows she shouldn't, but she needs help, and without her senses she's trapped.]

There's not a lot that's dangerous for me, sweetheart. At least, not normally.

[Now that he's human there's a lot of things that are dangerous to him, but that's mostly because he's an idiot.]

What you are doesn't matter, but if this is what hunters do to your kind, and if that's what's happened here, it sounds to me like you could be in a spot of bother here, whiiich brings us back to you getting the hell out of Dodge.

[He licks his lips unconsciously as he watches her hair. It's distracting enough he's in danger of tripping as he sprints along the shore towards the smoke]

Depends who he got in the way of. Is it a clean cut or was he hacked? Do you recognise his clothes?

[She tries to shove hair out of her face, but the flames just curl around her fingers and 'tangle'. Frustrated she sighs.]

I think it might be a woman? I can't tell. The cut is... messy.

[The thought makes her gag and she turns away from the dead body.]

[Oh. Bodies. Feels like home all of a sudden.]

You ain't alone, sweetheart. What the fuck do you mean with 'hunters?'
