[Natalia looks at the screen and tilts her head.]

I'm going to take this time to... clear up any confusion.

[This just seems, easier. No expectations from anyone for her to behave in a certain way, because they think she's someone that shes not.]

Some of you have already been made aware that there is another version of myself here. This is my notice to the rest of you of this information. There are two versions of myself present here, the other is more closely affiliated with many of the others here that might expect that I am.

Perhaps, this will message will help clear the air, and prevent any further broken expectations or bruised feelings. I am not her, she is not me.

[Sharon walks downstairs after seeing the message, her hair damp from her shower after working out. She opens one of the kitchen cabinets and frowns. Food reappearing, just like Olivaw had said. What would happen if two or more people kept watch?]

I take it you're meeting with bizarro-SHIELD went well.

[Action!]

[She's eating...imagine that. A bowl of oatmeal and dried fruit, a shrug of her shoulder between swallowing a bite and speaking.]

Well enough, they've already been made aware, seemed pointless to continue.

[Sharon drops down across from her with a bowl of cereal.]

I'm just glad you're the one with the Olsen twin and not me. [And as much as she wants him there, at least her Steve is outside somewhere. Hopefully finding a way to get them out.]

Logan's back. Ran into mechanical bears in the woods. Apparently, it took less than ten to knock him out and leave him back at the edge of the woods, but he said there were far more than that. Says that whatever brought us here was ready for us, too. Whatever they did to him, it left him knocked out for hours. If he hasn't found you yet, he probably will when he stops drinking.

Have the others found anything useful?

[She narrows her eyes at that.] You annoy me enough on your own, I don't need two of you. [Yes, a tease, but yes.. Steve is out there somewhere. That's at least something.]

I'm sure he will, when he's ready. If not.. I'll poke at him later. [Because she is probably one of the few people in any universe that can get away with poking Logan when he's in a mood and coming out of it in one piece.]

Besides, knowing about me... They haven't found much at all, nothing that you or I haven't figured out on our own.

[They know about James, but...she's not bringing that up until she's assessed the situation for herself.]

And whoever's keeping us here, I don't think they're going to let us go anytime soon. [Her way of saying to settle in for the long-haul if they can't find a way out.]

[She considers for a moment longer and then abruptly switches languages, keeping her head lowered so the camera can't see her lips.] You learned Thai somewhere, right?

[She's not at all sure Natasha would remember it if she knew it at all, but Sharon had spent a significant part of her life in Thailand.]

We've also go French, German, Spanish, some Portuguese, Japanese...

[She's rarely regretted not learning more Russian, since that would make finding common languages easier, but if they could switch it up enough, perhaps it wouldn't matter if their captors heard what they said. Though she was still going to speak quietly enough to make the bastards work for it.]

I had assumed that, the first day the food replenished in the cabinets. Which in a lot of ways is a god send, between us we'd starve before we could get an evac..

[Natalia leans over her bowl and responds, first in perfect Thai, then French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese and adding Russian, Mandarin, Turkish, Greek and Italian, with a faint smile. She settles on Thai for them moment.]

Switch it up enough, and they'll never know which one to listen for. Keep our heads down and voices low.

[She switches to German.]

Can't rule out the possibility that these... [She tilts her head toward her wrist.] Might now translate. But we know each other well enough. [And then Japanese.] We can work out a system... .

[Now....she's just showing off, but whatever.]

My Turkish is rusty. [She says it in Italian and switches to Mandarin.] it's likely [Portuguese] that someone here [Greek] is a spy [French] for the people [Japanese] holding us here. [Thai] And I think [Italian] we've all had our minds [French again] messed with. [And then to Maltese.] I don't know how yet. It even affects robots.

[She shakes her head.] This is going to be a pain in the ass.

[Mandarin] Remember the Skrull? [German] How the Hood helped the Capes? [Thai] It almost feels like the bad guys [Portuguese] have joined together again. Faustus. Machinesmith. [She shakes her head and switches to Greek.] Or maybe it's the latest Skrull invasion. [At least she was confident Natasha wasn't a Skrull. Not after their fight.]

And fuck your Russian, thanks. I know how to order shots and tell someone I'll shoot. What more do I need? [Other than to know more Russian.]

How can it be possible that there are two of you?

[ Private voice ]

You make this sound so complicated. I've just been observing.

No, nothing complicated. Would you rather watch me from a distance? If so then I'll leave you to your observing.

Simply? Different version from a different universe.

Your doppleganger has already approached me once. [ A pause. ] It seems like a universal habit for you to find me where ever we may be.

[ Winter Soldier...is not sure which one is his however. ]

[This raises a lot of questions for him. How much might two versions of the same person have in common? How is this even possible?]

Is there an easy way one might be able to tell the two of you apart?

[Practical matters first.]

I thought she might have. Which means she's told the others about you. She seems weak, and appears too dependent on the others in her group. Her loyalty is with them.

[Natalia here, this one, knew...about you as she said, but hasn't told anyone.]

Some one told me once that souls like ours are gravitational, like a planet, they're constantly pulling the other half back.

[Enough to be a pain in the ass, but not enough to be the same.]

I'm not certain. [She believes her alternate is more emotionally invested in her team than, she was. More friendly..] I've yet to observe her long enough to make any distinctions.

Then we'll work on it. [She continues on in a similar fashion, switching between languages with no complaint.] No one said it would be easy. Stop complaining...

[She gives a little smile.]

It's not Skrull. There are too many people from too many different places.

[Natasha snorts and eats another bite of her food.]

Well, we can't all be as good as I am. It's not your fault, you're obviously not superior. [Heh.. she'd stick her tongue out at you now if she were the type to do such things.]

[He does have to wonder if he'd be able to tell the difference between their minds, if he met them.]

If I may say so, I would like to meet you both. It strikes me as a unique situation.

No shit? If there were two of me, I'd... never mind. It definitely didn't involve sex. Does the other you have a goatee?

I will consider it. My intention was to avoid interaction as much as possible.

Just for that, I'll try and talk Russian as much as possible. And it'll be horrible. Kak dela? Atleechna. [Okay, so she'd picked up a couple things in Russia, just... not much.]

Then how do we know which of you is evil?

While true, I'm not sure I think there are, but we'll keep our eyes open just in case.

[Natasha shakes her head with a slight laugh.]

Your Russian really is terrible.

I guess you won't.

[But at least no one's called her Natasha's mother lately, so that's a start.]

And I'm going to use it every time you're too far away to hit.
