Day 65 [video]

[Dilandau's out in the grassy land near the beach, sweating from a recent bout of intensive exercise]

Have you finally stopped apologising now? [He doesn't hide the curl of his lip that shows how little he thinks of such gestures] I need a sparring partner, so if any of you demons have a sword and know how to use it, tell me. I start working at dawn.

[He pauses, narrowing his eyes]

And I don't want any of you to start telling me swords don't exist in your worlds too. I'm sick of hearing about how alien you all are.

[He holds his hands up in mock-surrender.]

What's the matter, sport? I thought you wanted to play. You aren't losing your breath, are you?

[He rolls his eyes.]

You just don't learn, do you?

[He sidesteps easily, far faster than he ought to be able to by human standards, and draws his sword. Where it actually comes from is something of a mystery, since there's no sheath at his side. He can do a lot more damage without than with it, but he doesn't feel like actually removing Dilandau's lungs. That'd be too easy and it'd probably get him in trouble with his goody-two-shoes siblings - scaring him's more fun.

Give him a break, he's been human for days. That's a long time without making people feel inferior.]

Wanna call it quits while you still can, kid? Cause I don't mean to brag, but I could turn you into a scrawny albino kebab before you could blink.

[He smirks, and slides his sword back into what is either a very well-protected inside pocket or possibly just a pocket dimension.]

Smart choice.

[If Dilandau looks back, Gabriel will be gone. He doesn't bother sticking around, not when he has at least five days' worth of hedonism to catch up on.]
