Well, that's the thing. I'm not sure it's a barrier, per se. Not like an invisible sphere around the place that you can punch holes in.

I suppose it's more analogous to a spherical area within the Cape being lit by a bright light that goes dimmer as you get close to the edges, and then suddenly goes pitch black at the boundaries to all sides, above and below and in the water. I just can't see or feel or even guess at what's beyond, or what creates the distortion that's blocking me.

To answer your question, though, I haven't done a thing about it other than push my luck in the woods. I thought I heard there was at least one attempt before I got here, but I'm not sure who was involved.
