[Kurt's alive~ Albeit a little worse-for-wear looking, all bedraggled and pale and looking very much like he hasn't slept at all for the last four days.

But he manages an anemic smile for the camera, reaching up and patting futilely at his mussed hair.] So...I think I've finally gotten the diner up to code. Or as close as it'll ever get. So....feel free to..come over...please. [His voice breaks a little and he blinks rapidly before abruptly turning the camera off.]

[His eyes narrow in concern as he watches the video.]

You feelin' alright, kid?

...it's been a little rough, I won't lie.

[He switches it to private audio.]

What's up, kid. Know we're not exactly well acquainted, but if you needa talk, I'm here.

I just...I don't want to be here. I guess.

[Yea, Logan can sympathize with that one.] Join the club, kid. None of us want to be here, that's why we're all tryin'a work a way out of here. We'll figure it out. Just takes time.

[He sniffles a little, then manages a small smile.] May I admit something embarrassing? This is only the second time in my life that I've been so far away from home.

[His eyebrows shoot up, so it's a good thing he's on audio only and the look of surprise is lost to Kurt.] I could see how that would be a bit... extra... how that would make all this harder. You a mutant, got any special gifts? Don't worry, I won't tell anyone else if you don't want me to.

...I can hit a high F? [That...probably doesn't count, Kurt.]

[Logan's brow furrows. He'd definitely thought most people here were somehow linked to people with powers in some regard or another.] Sorry.

I dunno, does that count?

I don't think so. Maybe I got taken by mistake. Maybe it's all a big test and I'm part of the control group.

...which reminds me, are you all right? I heard you were being...experimented on.

[The camera flickers on, it's not obvious if it was on purpose or not, though the conversation is still private. There's some jostling though, Logan is apparently getting comfortable in his house on his bed.]

A control group? Int'restin' thought. Could be.

[He raises an eyebrow at that, curiosity piquing over the rumors that had apparently already circulated.] Oh? What'd you hear?

[Oh, hello there, Logan-face. Kurt is going to attempt to smooth his hair again, without much success.]

Maybe to see how...people with gifts function under pressure as opposed to...less-gifted people?

[He shrugs a little, already feeling silly for bringing it up.] Sharon said you were...indisposed for some reason. She didn't elaborate.

[Logan catches Kurt's slightly sheepish look at the suggestion.] Your guess is just as good as any of ours, kid. I'm leanin' towards this whole thing being a big experiment too.

Mm, so you figured I'd been experimented on? [He chuckles and smiles, the corners of his eyes wrinkling genuinely.] I went to see if we could get out through the forest. Whoever is keepin' us here decided they didn't like that. I'm fine. Always fine. I ain't the one anyone should be worryin' about.

A sadistic and creepy, but nevertheless not exactly painful or uncomfortable one. I mean, nobody's had any limbs amputated yet, have they?

Oh. I just....jumped to conclusions, I guess. [Another mildly embarrassed laugh.] I didn't want to lose one of the few people who was willing to put up with my panicky tendencies, that's all.

...yet. [He nods. He'd been in situations similar to this, strangely enough. They'd barely been there a week, there was no telling what new twists could be added to an experiment to shake it up, but he wasn't about to go blabbering on about that to Kurt.]

It'll take a lot to 'lose' me. Promise. My body, I heal from almost anything. [He admits. Kurt was the first person he'd told. He wasn't sure why he'd decided to share, maybe an attempt to reassure the kid.]

[He shudders, tucking his knees up to his chest, apparently in an effort to make himself smaller.] The camera's are a little weird, I'll admit.

It's probably still not your favorite thing in the world to get injured in the first place, huh?

Very weird, especially the bathroom ones. I wonder if they're infra red... or if I shower in the dark for nothin'. [Definitely a few thoughts that he should have kept to himself, but that pestered him during each and every shower.]

[He shrugged at the question on getting injured. He honestly didn't care as much as most people.] It hurts the same as if I were human, but since it heals pretty fast, the pain is real temporary. It usually becomes kinda an after thought. Depends where and what though, I definitely dislike some things more'an others.

Oh god, I didn't even think about those. I'm trying not to think about them, really. [Shudders.]

An ideal situation would be if nobody was getting injured. At all. Period.

Hey, man, are you okay?

Me? I'm superlative. How are you?

[Logan shrugs.] You asked.

Hm. So.. you got a hobby though. Singin'? Maybe focus on it... or that diner you've fixed up? You stayin' on your own?

So far, yes, I am.

Well, I'm in... shit, I can't ever remember... not... yea, fourteen. Fourteen. So if you ever get spooked or what not... [It was an invitation, but he just couldn't bring himself to say it out right.]

...I'm sort of perpetually spooked these days.
