[ Dilandau's conviction actually does make Erik sit forward and pay better attention than he might otherwise; the strength of his own convictions is such that he's drawn to those who are confident in theirs. The actual plan, though, doesn't inspire the same confidence. His world is constructed by science, not magic, and though he considers himself more than adaptable - he'd have to be, considering - it's not an easy leap to make. Then again he's prone to transfer what he learns here as applicable to his own world; a mutant who can control time doesn't sound so implausible. Dilandau is just calling it something different. ]

I'd be willing to see what I can sense from their mechanics. For my own purposes.
