[ This is an all-too familiar scene, where Steve can't remember a thing or why he's wearing these clothes. He supposes his first thoughts really shouldn't be about why people keep thinking it'll be more appropriate to the situation if they undress him.

The voice starts, and he's a little disappointed. Guess they've stopped trying to impress him.

He examines his watch, because it stands out like a sore thumb against his soldier's uniform. He turns on the video feed unknowingly, and it shows him turning away to look up at the ceiling where the voices seem to be coming from. ]

What year is it?

[ Call her soft, but Anna can't help but feel sympathetic. She's in the same boat after all. That's why she pays any attention at all when the device on her wrist emits a voice, and after a few moments of fiddling with it (she's still not that used to them) a slightly smiling face flickers up on his screen. ]

Hello. I believe it's 2012, as far as I'm aware. I assume you've woken up under the same circumstances as all of us, no knowledge of how you arrived?

[ There's a brief pause, and then she adds. ]

I'm Anna, by the way.

...Yeah, that sounds right. I'm Steve.

And... I'm glad to hear it's still 2012. Thank you.

Nice to meet you, Steve.

[ If nothing else, she does at least sound genuine in that. ]

Has anyone explained what we think is going on to you yet? I don't have many answers yet, no one seems to honestly, but some things we have worked out.

I'm getting more questions than answers, but I'll take any information I can get. Whatever you're willing to tell me.

It's a bit like that here. Seems like the more we figure out the more questions we get.

[ She takes a moment, pauses as she collects her thoughts and then continues on slowly so he can follow. ]

Well the big question, the why? That I can't answer. But what it seems has happened is people are being pulled from various universes to this place, within their own personal time lines too. An old friend of mine knows what happens in my future, for instance. Perhaps the Steve these people know is one from one of these different universes?

It certainly helps. I have a few here too. Might not be the ones I would have hand picked, but it's better than no one.

[ Despite her rather bitter sounding comment, she's actually smiling more fondly than before. Then she just shakes her head quickly, because really, enough of that. ]

Certainly not. Stranger things have happened than appearing somewhere like here. I just wish we knew who was doing it though.

I don't think they'd want to show their faces here while some of us are a little mad about being kidnapped.
