[Static flickers, the image of what looks perhaps altogether too much like another corpse visible between the stuttering lines of interference. This corpse, however, is not a familiar one. The view is pointed upward, showing the body to be that of a man, leaning against a tree near the edge of the forest, dressed in slightly ratty, Victorian-esque clothing and spattered with blood, oil, grease, and gods know what else. Though the picture sometimes cuts back and forth to black and white, there's enough time with color to show that his skin is tinged an unhealthy shade of yellow which has gone a little green in places, including along the edges of the dark circles that mark his slightly sunken eye sockets and around the bruises visible through the scruff and stubble along his jaw. Creamy, off-white lines and crusted smudges mark various wounds, all of which appear to be in some stage of healing, including the most prominent of them, a thin line that spans the base of his throat, just above his collarbone. It's obviously fairly fresh, even though it's already closed over, as it's one of the injuries that looks somewhat raw at the edges.

Now, squint and you might almost be able to tell that-- oh, yes-- yes, he's breathing, before the video is consumed by static and the audio picks up a thick, British accent draped over a raw-throated voice.]

[ Yep, she went and did it. ]

[Oh, sweet Anna. He needs more help than you know. As may be made evident by the weakness of his laugh.]

I am hardly capable of considering how one might be best helped in such a situation as this. [A pause is followed by a tone of apology.] Though I do appreciate the kindness.

You appear injured. [ Lets not waste time mincing with words now, she's already being stupid enough offering at all. She has to push on before she convinces herself to stop responding. ] Obviously I can't change you being here, but if you're hurt...that I can help with.

[Aside from noticing the fact that everything aches and, in fact, led to shooting pain when he attempted to remove his communicator in a panic, Oliver hasn't actually paid his injuries much mind. Most of them he'd acquired prior to closing his eyes and-- Well, he'd sort of ~~hoped~~ thought he would die, to be entirely honest.]

I have recently been through something of a war. [His speech is slow, thoughtful, as he takes stock of himself.] I suppose it might be in my best interest to let someone at least evaluate some of my injuries.

[ There's a brief pause. Anna's kind of freaking out here, okay? This guy is in rough shape, but this isn't anything like saving Jesse and co. This is a premeditated decision to expose herself. This needs some serious thought. ]

...Is anyone else with you?

Not as of yet.

[He considers this for a moment, long enough to take a look around himself. The question doesn't particularly strike him as odd, given personalities he has dealt with in the past, nor does the thought of mentioning--]

I believe someone may be on their way, however.

Do you know who?

[ It's a strange mixture of relief, and potential nerves that washes over her at that news, but...she has to find out who it is first. If it's someone she can leave him with, that's great. If not though, she'll just...have to find a new solution. ]

A name, brief description? Anything.

[Having not traded names as of yet, Oliver has to collect his thoughts for a moment before attempting to provide any description.]

A young man. Dark hair. He appeared somewhat ill, though likely quite a bit less so than myself. That is, unfortunately, the best that I can provide.
