[The display opens on the cemetery. The only interesting thing is a pile of rock and ash in front of a gravestone. How long has that been there? The cemetery isn't a wholly popular place, it could have been days. For a long moment, nothing happens. Birds chirp, wine rustles the trees.

Then-- there, do you see it? A piece of the rubble twitches slightly, then begins to roll up the pile. Another joins it in motion. Pretty soon all the pieces are shaking and rolling over each other, reshaping into the vague form of a body. A line of stones reach out towards the camera, pulling it up and in. Finally, the round shape on top solidifies into a head, complete with a face, the eyes open wide and he gasps, taking in the first breath of life he's had for days.]

Wha-- [He breathes heavily, slowly becoming more human than statue. His clothes are tattered, singed, and dusty.] What the hell?

I'm guessing you've already been welcomed and filled in, but just to make sure, I'll try and make this quick. My name is Sharon Carter. You're in another universe and time period from your last one, and as of yet, we have no way of getting you back home. Our food supply is running out, so keep that in mind. There are creatures in the woods and in the water to make sure we don't try to escape that way, and people who have tried have been severely injured and nearly killed.

If you need clothing or a place to stay, people are generally happy to help so long as you ask.

If you need anything else, please just ask. I'm available, day or night. Mr...?

[Wow, for all that, you get a full name.]

Muñoz, Armando Muñoz. But you can call me Darwin.

Creatures in the water? [There goes his plan of finding a boat... or maybe not. Maybe he can take them.] What kind of creatures?

Good names. All of them. You can call me Sharon.

Not sure. The creatures in the woods tend to be of the mechanical bear or dire wolf variety. Whatever happened in the water, a person here with military experience and superpowers was almost killed by them. He was drugged during the ordeal, though, and details were far from sufficient.

I know better than to send anyone else out to face them, though.

Well damn. What kind of superpowers?

Are you familiar with Captain America at all?

[evolv]

Can't say I am. He some kind of cartoon character?

[agentx13]

[Sharon grins.] No, though there were comic books about him back in the day. He's from my universe. He was designed to be a super soldier. He's stronger than most, quicker, and heals more quickly. He's one of the best fighters I know, and he almost died. So I'd say the escape-by-sea plan is on pause for now.

[evolv]

He was designed? Not born that way?

[OK maybe he'll hold off on checking out the water.]

He was part of a project to create the perfect man. [And take it from someone who's been in a relationship with him for years - they succeeded.]

I know it seems grim, but if they found a way to put us in here, then they've got a way to get us out. All we have to do is find it.
