[The display opens on the cemetery. The only interesting thing is a pile of rock and ash in front of a gravestone. How long has that been there? The cemetery isn't a wholly popular place, it could have been days. For a long moment, nothing happens. Birds chirp, wine rustles the trees.

Then-- there, do you see it? A piece of the rubble twitches slightly, then begins to roll up the pile. Another joins it in motion. Pretty soon all the pieces are shaking and rolling over each other, reshaping into the vague form of a body. A line of stones reach out towards the camera, pulling it up and in. Finally, the round shape on top solidifies into a head, complete with a face, the eyes open wide and he gasps, taking in the first breath of life he's had for days.]

Wha-- [He breathes heavily, slowly becoming more human than statue. His clothes are tattered, singed, and dusty.] What the hell?

[Just going to ignore the reference he doesn't get and work on getting the TV off. But that's not working, so he gives it up after a minute to talk to the guy.]

[Now that he's all put together and gotten to his feet, he bows at the applause, not entirely sure who it's coming from, but feeling glad to be in once piece all the same.]

[ River giggles but then she turns serious. Have a face. It is a worried face. ] Did it hurt?

I have never seen anyone greet the network in this manner. What is it that we just observed you accomplish?

[He's politely curious, not alarmed at all. Just curious.]

Survive, I think. [He's all together by now, and less surprised by the voices coming from the thing on his wrist.]

I'm glad to hear it.

[And he honestly is. Harm would not be good, even if he isn't sure yet who or what he's dealing with.]

Are you well now?

Yeah, now I'm good. I think there's a girl coming to find me.

[Fully revived and human again, Darwin just laughs.]

Survive, little lady. I survived.

Were you dead? Is that what just happened? Did you just come back to life? Oh my god how did you do that?

[ She's talking really fast in an attempt to get all her questions out at once. Sorry Darwin, she's just really excited! ]

I'm guessing you've already been welcomed and filled in, but just to make sure, I'll try and make this quick. My name is Sharon Carter. You're in another universe and time period from your last one, and as of yet, we have no way of getting you back home. Our food supply is running out, so keep that in mind. There are creatures in the woods and in the water to make sure we don't try to escape that way, and people who have tried have been severely injured and nearly killed.

If you need clothing or a place to stay, people are generally happy to help so long as you ask.

If you need anything else, please just ask. I'm available, day or night. Mr...?

Muñoz, Armando Muñoz. But you can call me Darwin.

Creatures in the water? [There goes his plan of finding a boat... or maybe not. Maybe he can take them.] What kind of creatures?

Good names. All of them. You can call me Sharon.

Not sure. The creatures in the woods tend to be of the mechanical bear or dire wolf variety. Whatever happened in the water, a person here with military experience and superpowers was almost killed by them. He was drugged during the ordeal, though, and details were far from sufficient.

I know better than to send anyone else out to face them, though.

[ Repetitive! He knows and figures. But DAMN. ]

That was one hell of an entrance, I'd say. [It's not like he'd meant to show off but that damn TV on his wrist went and showed everyone.]
