It seems everyone's had quite the morning, so I'll keep this brief. If any of you think you might be the kind of powered up that can help figure out exactly what it is people are turning into, let me know.
In the mean time just...be careful, guys.
[[ Private to the Angelsibs andhonorarysib housemate Chuck ]]
As someone [ see Gabriel, re: griping announcement earlier ] has mentioned already, there's something weird going on here. We're human now, completely, and Balthazar....
[ All in good time. ]
Obviously it's a little harder to keep in touch now, but are you all okay so far? No broken bones, stubbed toes, fatal injuries? Keep in touch, okay?
[[ Private to Fun Ghoul ]]
We have a bit of a situation here.

What's goin' on, babydoll?
[PRIVATE] [video]
Betting you've realised there's some serious stuff going down this morning by now, huh? [ She rubs a hand over her face - she looks tired, which in itself is a major indicator that something isn't right with her. ] I'm, well. Human. I forgot how easily damaged you guys are.
[ And it's not her proudest moment, delivered hesitantly and through slightly gritted teeth, but it's not like she can do it herself any more. The wound on her arm isn't exactly going anywhere now. ]
...How are you at first aid?
[PRIVATE] [audio]
The zones feel like a lifetime ago, which doesn't make sense because he was just there, but it also feels like he's been somewhere else for a long time and it wasn't pleasant. First aid ... it's a distant-but-not-distant memory. ]
I can fix you up just fine. Depends how bad y'are. Don't sound like you're dyin' just yet. Where you at?
[PRIVATE] [video]
I'm at my house, but- it's not a good place to be right now. Can you meet me somewhere?
[ She's not sure how long she can justify being away for - sibling or not Balthazar is dangerous, and she has to do what she can to keep everyone else away from him too, but it hurts and she can't fix this wound on her own any more. Who knew being human could end up so frustrating. ]
The pharmacy, maybe? Probably something there that can help, anyway.
[PRIVATE] [audio]
It's a date. I'll head on over. You should be more careful, Chiquita. See you there.
[actionnn]
Walking is slow. She knows this already, of course, but there's a difference between choosing to go for a wander and being forced to take a journey one step at a time, especially when she's already so hesitant to leave. She does it anyway though, partly because of the still-bleeding injury and partly because it'd be really, really good to see him right now, even just for a moment. And so it's slow goings, by her standards at least, but a few minutes and a lot of vented frustrations later she's there, hovering outside the pharmacy with a hand pressed over her arm as she waits for Ghoul to arrive. ]

He strolls up to her, eyeing her arm and whistling.]
Looks pretty nasty already, huh? Hey, hey, lemme see. What're we workin' with here? You did a number on it.
[He can be sweet. Oh so sweet. He grabs for the arm, so gentle, and plays it off as an accident when he squeezes a little too hard near the gash.] Oh, oh, oh. Sorry, baby. You're okay, let's head in.
no subject
It's not so bad- [ lie ] just a small cut- [ another lie ] probably just a flesh wound.
[ There's a slight grimace on her face as she lifts the clumsily secured bandage, already all but soaked through with blood, and though none of the cuts are deep enough to cause serious damage, there's a few nasty looking ones there. It's not instantly obvious that they're teeth marks, but they are arranged in a large semi circle. Too large for a human mouth, that's for sure. ]
Some proper wrapping should do it, it's- [ She stops abruptly, hissing softly at the sharp burst of pain in her arm. He really isn't used to dealing with pain, and she looks at him quickly-
But it was an accident, right? It's fine. She just gives a faint smile in return, nods a little and carefully twists her arm to move the cuts out of his touch. ]
It's fine, gotta learn the hard way. [ And that's actually a genuine joke, with a quiet chuckle and everything as she heads into te pharmacy. ]

He pulls his hand back entirely and ducks into the building, heading straight up and down aisles, looking for anything that'll do. Anything that hasn't already been picked clean.]
Maybe you should sit. The counter, sit on the counter. Take it easy, huh? I'll look. I'll take care of it.
no subject
And she should keep looking, because she has to do something, but she's so tired and his suggestion seems so much easier. Anna casts a quick glance his way, frowning slightly as she folds her arms carefully. ]
Are you sure? If you need help looking for anything, it'll be quicker with both of us...
[ She might possibly already be leaning against said counter even as she asks though. It's been a really long day, she doesn't have it in her to fight another person about what's right and what's not. ]
no subject
You wanna tell me what happened?
no subject
It's...my world stuff, hard to explain.
[ Hard to explain, but damn she's sick of lying to him. It's getting harder, and it sure as hell won't protect him to not know what's going on. She sighs quietly, then just shrugs. ]
Brother of mine hasn't done too well in all of this- whatever you want to call it. Madness.
no subject
Your brother? Some family. Goes crazy and attacks you? Anna, that's bullshit. You'd be safer with me.
[He sets the clean bandages down and reaches for her arm again, much more careful this time, and starts removing the bloodied ones.] Girl, you might need t'stitch this up. Don't know if wrapping's gonna cut it.
no subject
I didn't know what he was, I knew he'd changed but I didn't know what. He tried to warn me, but.. [ She shrugs and glances at the bite. ] It wouldn't be safer for him. People here don't know how powerful he is, he's one of the most dangerous things in my world. So maybe don't come around for a few days.
[ Stitches would be no problem - she'd had stitches as a five year old, surely an aeons old creature could handle it - except, they've not exactly got knock out drugs lying around. She frowns slightly, eyeing the cuts carefully. She wouldn't know if he's right or not, but she nods. ] That's fine, whatever has to happen. Is that...something you know how to do?
[ Call it dumb
which it really, really is given the circumstancesbut she trusts him with this body a lot more than she does anyone else around here. ]no subject
I can do it. 'Course I know how. Lemme do it.
[He goes back to the shelves, quicker this time and pouting like a petulant child, before returning to her side with an armful of useful stuff.]
I got you, Chiquita, you just sit tight. Lemme handle it.
no subject
[ The task she's taken on is huge, there's no denying that, but she wouldn't let anyone else do it. Someone has to keep this stupid, dysfunctional family from tearing itself apart at any given opportunity.
...One of them literally trying to eat the others is clearly a little more difficult than spats over the dinner table, but she'll manage. Somehow. Probably. ]
Look, thanks for this. I'm sure you've got your own stuff going down. I just...haven't needed to fix myself up in quite a long time, you know? Kind of had that stuff covered.
[ And when he's back she smiles, and shuffles a little closer to the edge of the counter, and holds her arm out for him to do with as he will. Somewhere along the lines she's started to trust him, and without the ability to actually see his real face, she doesn't notice a difference. She just smiles and thanks him and looks so, so relieved that he's here to help her. ]
no subject
Ain't even a thing. Nothin' else to do. Don't thank me.
[Especially not when he starts tracing the wounds antiseptic on a cotton swab.] Might haveta get you somethin' to bite down on, babydoll.
no subject
...and when the antiseptic touches the wound and it stings, she lets out a quiet sound that sounds suspiciously like a whimper.
Damn it. ]
Maybe you're right. [ There's a spare roll of bandages, and it's going to have to do. Flexing her fingers lightly, she balls them into a fist and then gives a short nod. ] Just...make it quick?
