He didn't mean it, he could have done a lot worse. [ When she repeats those words in her head, she practically groans at how typically cliche they sound. She's not some abused victim, just a stupidly protective sister who didn't quite catch on the meaning of 'get back' fast enough. She can barely wrap her head around it all, and she doesn't expect him to understand her, but getting it out makes her feel at least marginally less stressed anyway. ]

I didn't know what he was, I knew he'd changed but I didn't know what. He tried to warn me, but.. [ She shrugs and glances at the bite. ] It wouldn't be safer for him. People here don't know how powerful he is, he's one of the most dangerous things in my world. So maybe don't come around for a few days.

[ Stitches would be no problem - she'd had stitches as a five year old, surely an aeons old creature could handle it - except, they've not exactly got knock out drugs lying around. She frowns slightly, eyeing the cuts carefully. She wouldn't know if he's right or not, but she nods. ] That's fine, whatever has to happen. Is that...something you know how to do?

[ Call it dumb which it really, really is given the circumstances but she trusts him with this body a lot more than she does anyone else around here. ]

[He goes back to the shelves, quicker this time and pouting like a petulant child, before returning to her side with an armful of useful stuff.]

I've got to stick around and make sure he doesn't do it to anyone else. He stopped for me, but a random stranger? Probably a goner before we even realise they're in the house.

[ The task she's taken on is huge, there's no denying that, but she wouldn't let anyone else do it. Someone has to keep this stupid, dysfunctional family from tearing itself apart at any given opportunity.

...One of them literally trying to eat the others is clearly a little more difficult than spats over the dinner table, but she'll manage. Somehow. Probably. ]

Look, thanks for this. I'm sure you've got your own stuff going down. I just...haven't needed to fix myself up in quite a long time, you know? Kind of had that stuff covered.

[ And when he's back she smiles, and shuffles a little closer to the edge of the counter, and holds her arm out for him to do with as he will. Somewhere along the lines she's started to trust him, and without the ability to actually see his real face, she doesn't notice a difference. She just smiles and thanks him and looks so, so relieved that he's here to help her. ]

[Especially not when he starts tracing the wounds antiseptic on a cotton swab.] Might haveta get you somethin' to bite down on, babydoll.

Yeah, no, it's fine. I'm a big girl.[ It's a joke, played off with a chuckle and everything, but seriously. She's a damn Angel of the Lord, like hell is she finding something to bite down on. She's endured pain like no one around here can even imagine, fought past far worse to reach the goals of the Host-

...and when the antiseptic touches the wound and it stings, she lets out a quiet sound that sounds suspiciously like a whimper.

Maybe you're right. [ There's a spare roll of bandages, and it's going to have to do. Flexing her fingers lightly, she balls them into a fist and then gives a short nod. ] Just...make it quick?
