[Balthazar appears in the feed looking bored and restless. He's run out of alcohol, in point of fact, and he's stressed about it. The cure, obviously, is conversation.]

Kore. I've decided to follow in our dear Castiel's wingprints, albeit belatedly. Believe it or not, I'm an angel of the Lord. And the handful of you who didn't already know that are welcome to ask questions.

For everyone else: did you know that the meter of 'Amazing Grace' is such that it can be sung not only to the traditional tune, but also to the tunes of both 'House of the Rising Sun' and the theme song from Gilligan's Island? [How does he know this? It may be better not to ask.]

I'll prove it if someone insists, but you'll be sorry. This vessel isn't built for singing.

[ Depending on how much attention Balthazar is paying to Angel Radio, Raphael might, just might, be snickering.

What, to Amazing Grace? [Balthazar notes the snickering, but assumes it's just a matter of Raphael having a rare moment of amusement at a brother being silly.]

I've got the first and last verses at least, I think.

There's an old hymnal in the church if you want to refresh yourself.

[ There's more than one, but Raphael had hidden them.

What's in it for me, other than public humiliation via the network? [He's not suspicious, but he is fairly comfortable in his garden, and feeling lazy.]

I actually did know that about Amazing Grace. Comes from years of being in almost every choir I could be in. It's been a while since I tried Gilligan's Island, though.

Are wingprints something I should keep a look out for when I finally get out of here?

Brigid! Hello, darling. I've never even been to a church service, believe it or not. Although I've heard army chaplains speak often enough. Are you a singer, then?

[Refreshing to see her in a good mood.] I don't know. Angels may be different where you're from.

[She's bored and has spent the last little bit with the Chronicle, translating. It always puts Brigid in a better mood.]

Oh, I'm not a singer. I join the choirs because I like the group work. And, it can get very silly at times.

[Shenanigans with the youth choirs. Shenanigans.]

Ah, I meant out of the lighthouse. I'm still a little laid up from my... return.

[Balthazar chuckles faintly.] I won't out you, but by the time you decide to out yourself, it might not be much of a shock to anyone any longer. 'Oh. Another angel? Yawn.'

But yes! I'd love to. I'm out of liquor. [And just a bit twitchy about it.]

The voice isn't awful, but I can't get him to carry a tune. I suppose I should do poetry readings instead.

[He grins and rests his chin in his free hand.] I can reach things on high shelves and open stubborn jars. Does that count?

But I don't want to clean my room! [He may have never really had a mother, but he knows that tone.]

I could fetch things for you, though, if you want.

You make it sound like fun. [Not the kind of fun he himself generally looks for, but that's all to the best, perhaps.]

[He sobers, though, at the mention of her being laid up. He missed that.] I'm sorry you were hurt. Should I bring you anything?

[She snorts out a laugh.]

I don't give a damn, as long as your room doesn't smell.

[Same deal she made with Jo.]

Gonna need those ashes, more dandelions, and some Bulrush, if you can find 'em. Still got totaled in the quake, so it's time to make some more.

Oh, Sister Mary Declan was very strict when it came to practicing, but there was always a lot of smiling and laughing. And occasional pranks. She didn't put up with much though. Joining Choir at school was... an experience.

[A small smile curves her lips.]

No, thank you. Derek, Stiles and Isaac have been hovering and taking quite good care of me. Unless there happens to be a Latin dictionary in the library?

I don't actually have a room. I gave it to Chuck. [He spends most of his free time outside, and it suits him well enough.]

I've been working on the ashes, actually. I have a bucket full. When you say bulrush, do you mean cattails or the sort of rushes that baby Moses used to float in? Because I can get you cattails, but not the latter.

Well, perhaps I'll get you to sing Amazing Grace some time, anyway. I imagine it's better from someone with faith.

I have no idea if there's a Latin dictionary, but I'll look for one for you. A bit of light reading?

I've been over this with the cuter angel - I don't like poetry.

And I've always been a girl who is capable of opening my own jars. [ She could use a guy to reach the high shelves though. ]
