[ In then few seconds it takes him to set up to summon Michael, he quickly fires off a message, locked to all the angelsibs, save Michael. He's got it locked the hell away from Michael and Zachariah, for reasons that are very clear. ]

All of you, pipe up. And take note.

[ It almost rumbles over the device - rather than the brother he's tried to been, the last couple of months, it's very much the Second to the General of Heaven that's speaking. ]

We've managed to concoct a bit of peace here. I will do what I can to continue it. But all of you must do your parts as well.

[ And the rest is to the rest from their world, sans Michael, though his tone doesn't change. ]

I'll tolerate no shenanigans from anyone over Michael.

[ Raphael is worried, but he can't right now. ]

Report in. Tell him you have duties under me. Don't mention what you don't want him to know. [ Stealing things, running off. ]

I'll deal with that later, if it comes to that.

[There's a pause so long it almost seems like Balthazar might be planning on ignoring Raphael, too. But they've made headway here, and dimly he recognizes Raphael doesn't have to do this for him or anyone else. At length he says:]

I'm not in the best of moods. This place has poor timing.

I'll do as you say for now, but I won't watch any other brothers or sisters die. You included. Don't stick your neck out so far you lose your head.

[ Raphael's worrying, because there is only so long he can delay summoning Michael. ]

What is the problem?

[ It is a genuine question, for all it's formal and distant - Raphael is worried himself. ]

It does. One the bright side, Virgil isn't here.

[ Because Balthazar would be getting a least a few bruises out of that, even if Raphael wouldn't let it go further than that. ]

With all luck, none of us will have to. But I do need all of you to cooperate with simple things to accomplish that, even if I recognize it's difficult or something you'd rather avoid.

[Michael's a poor substitute for the reckless little shifter who called him Snowball. Sorry, bro.]

But there's nothing anyone can do about that. I'll attempt to behave myself.

You've vanished a few times, and came back. Not that that knowledge is much comfort.

[ He's trying, he is, to not side back into being as cold as he has been for so long. But it's much more difficult with Michael here. ]
