I'm bored, dear people of Kore, and I find I don't recognize half of you anymore. Someone play a game with me.
I spy with my little eye...? [There's a long, reflective pause, because what he spies is pretty much just, you know, empty corridor. Damn.]
Failing that, I suppose I could set up a scavenger hunt. First one to bring me the whole list gets breakfast in bed for a week. Any takers? It'll be fun!

[He's hoping that was innuendo. Was it innuendo?]

How about... angel delight?
[ Is that better? Should she just stop? ]

Alright. How about you bring the angel and I bring the whipped cream?
[ Cheering him is one of her favourite hobbies... Apart from the part where he has to be down in order to be cheered up! ]

Sounds like a plan. Tomorrow morning? What did you want for breakfast?

[Remiel's in the library, poring over a volume of world history. Someone's world history. It's not his Earth. He smiles brightly at the phone.]

[Not strictly true, but it's definitely his favorite. He smiles at Remiel. The fact that no disasters have befallen them lately is reassuring, even if Balthazar is still waiting for the other shoe to drop.]
But I'm open to counteroffers. What are you reading?
no subject
Not even gin rummy?
[Remiel doesn't play too cards that often, but when he'd first come to Earth they'd been one of the most popular forms of socializing. Especially in gatherings. He glances down at his book.]
Oh, I found a history book. Thought I'd see if it would illuminate anything, but I'm guessing it doesn't come from this place. So far there aren't any mentions of technology that can pierce universes. [Although, hey, maybe it's a secret. But for that to be it, the rest of the technology would have to match up somehow...] Interesting, though, to see the little differences.

[Balthazar tends to be more of a watcher than a gambler, himself, but he's always up to trying something new.]
The consensus I've heard thus far says more 'magic' and less with the 'technology'. But then there are those who hold there's almost no difference between the two. Are you anxious to get home?
no subject
[It was one of the differences he'd noticed. Magic back home evades most people, but there are plenty who know of it.]
The consensus seems to be that we go back in the moment we leave, so... [The archangel shrugs, though Balthazar can't see it. There's a soft rustling noise, because he's not bothering to hide his wings. They might give someone a heart attack, or they might not, but he's tired of hiding them away; they always feel a bit sore.] I guess not. Talking to everyone here is fun, and if I don't have to worry about my garden back home getting dry then I'm happy to stay. Plus, I don't have to relay any visions. That's pretty nice.

Nothing that would make you risk life and limb. [Much.] I thought some creativity might be involved. Some simple fetching of things, and some making things, out of whatever materials you can find around.
no subject
[He tilted his head.]
What is the first something?
no subject
All right. Let's go with...a self-portrait, made out of anything you can find in the kitchen. Since no one else is playing, I'll make an attempt at one, as well.
no subject
[He bounces along the corridor as he heads over to the kitchen, jarring the video feed in a nauseating fashion.]
Hmmmm, wonder what could make an ash color...
