[ One archangel who has been VERY GOOD at being not seen is sitting on a cabinet, cleaning blood off a short, tri-bladed sword. Raphael is looking none too happy. ]

If anyone hears dogs, get away from them unless you are a highly trained combatant and have a weapon in hand. Salt is a decent barrier, there are others. If anyone needs help with them, I am Raphael. Scream and I'll hear you, or you can pray.

[ The frown is enough to cause a slight rolling forward of his shoulders, a tiny dip ho his chin. The camera doesn't show it, can't show it, but the posture is clearly that on Raphael hunkering under his own wings, making himself shorter and smaller. ]

There are enough twists and turns to this place that it would be helpful, given what Hellhounds tend to do to people.

Does any weapon work or does it have t'be something special?

No. You need certain types of blades, which few here have. Explosions - large ones - will kill them. Iron will hurt them, salt will keep them away, as will goofer dust and devil's shoestring, which I haven't seen around here. Yet.

Now that formalities are out of the way! What do you know about these supposed demonic pitbulls? Personally I was hoping for something nicer. Dalmatians! Dalmatians are brilliant and nice. Especially when there's about a hundred and one of 'em together.

I doubt it. If you want to try it, I'd suggest only doing to with assistance of someone armed with a proven weapon.

They aren't 'supposed' for one thing. Your dimension may no have Hell, if so, bravo, but mine does, and that's were these are born.

Always with the making sure with you lot. You're always bound to be professional and make sure the rules are followed. Good thing too. Rules usually keep you safe when you're not dealing with a good thing. Or man. [ Oops. ]

I've met Satan. He wasn't a very lovely chap. [ Also? On an asteroid! ] Although he just called himself "The Beast." It was Earth that gave him the name of "Satan." So, yes, probably has Hell. Just not sure where it is yet. Haven't found it or Haven.

So! Tell me of your hellhounds. What are they doing here? What do they want? And, is there a way to stop them that isn't killing them?

[ They are...twitchy about each other, aren't they? ]

And mine, at least, wouldn't refer to himself as The Beast. Hellhounds serve demons. I don't know what they are doing here, they probably want to kill us all, that's what they do. Rip people apart and drag their souls to Hell, kill anything which threatens them. So no, there isn't a way to stop them without killing them, though you can ward against them, but there isn't enough salt here, and the other supplies aren't here.

[Remiel has been busy, too, though only when he has to be. This is an archangel who only kills when he absolutely has to.]

Hi, Raphael. [Maybe this is a rocky time for introductions, given what Balthazar told him, but what the hell.] I'm, uh, Remiel. Can salt really hold up against them?

[That's not how it works back home. Of course, "hellhounds" don't really exist there. That's just a term for a demon who's so off their rocker that they look like a beast.]

[He briefly holds up Or Me'eer, his Divine Blade, a broad and gleaming sword which is still splattered with some black blood. Numerous symbols and old script glint on the blade, identifying it as the weapon of one of the seven archangels. The blood will soon run off as if it was never there; nothing remains bonded with the Blade for long, aside from Remiel himself.]

Is there a more... common weapon that works on them?

I'm up for being screamed for, too, under the circumstances. [Balthazar seems to have his sword drawn, as well, but there's no blood on it. Either there's been no good hunting, or else he's had enough space in between bouts to keep it clean.]

[ Oliver's new. Well, new-ish. When he arrived he was about half dead and mostly unconscious. Someone helped him though and that's all he knows. He doesn't believe in miracles really. He's not sure he ever did. A miracle didn't pull him off the island. ]
