[ Hey Cape Kore! It's your local resident Moose. He definitely looks better this time around than the last. He isn't quite as flaily like a baby giraffe or a drunk moose this time. Bonus points for Sam! ]

Hey guys! Seems I can walk about without losing my balance now. Gotta say, the whole roofied feeling - not so fun.

But, seems my laptop is here. And since this place seems to be lacking in the entertain department, I figured y'alls should get together and have a movie night or somethin' sometime.

I wasn't all that sympathetic actually. I was kinda in a bad place. Empathy wasn't my strong point at the time.

No? Well, I suspect it would have been more difficult than usual to be sympathetic. Through the laughter, and whatnot.

It was pretty amusing. I shouldn't laugh but uh... It was a lot funnier without a soul.

[That statement isn't as strange to Fortescue as it could be to someone else. She tilts her head curiously.]

[ It's great when people don't look at him like he's crazy. Curiousity he can handle, disbelief and thinking he's crazy kinda gets to him. ]

Uh, yeah. I got it back. Well, Death got it back for me. It was pretty banged up. But I dunno, I think I'm kinda okay now...

I take it you mean a... literal Death. Robe and scythe sort of fellow?

More a suit than a robe, but yeah, he's a pretty intimidating guy.

I would have to imagine so. [She looks amused.] You didn't play chess with him, did you?

My brother had pizza with him. Does that count?

...I would say so, except I don't think you can barter with pizza.

[That amusement hasn't left her face, although she does look slightly taken aback.]

I never would have guessed that Death likes Italian. Or eats at all, I suppose.

Pretty sure if Death asks you to sit down to pizza with him then you don't say no.

If only the circumstances for getting to chill with Death weren't well, y'know, death...

[She thinks for a moment.]

There's merit in getting to ask Death questions about the universe and life itself, I suppose. But generally, isn't it better when those questions are left unasked? Is he so petty he'd zap you just for refusing to eat with him?

I dunno about petty - Kinda don't want to ever test that theory out for myself.

No, I probably wouldn't risk it, either. Best to try and minimize the situation.

Pretty sure I've died enough for one existence, any way. Think I'd like to take a break from the whole dying scene.

I would think that more than once would be enough for anyone, darling.

I'm a bit above the national average when it comes to death counts, I'm afraid.

That's unfortunate. Try not to make it a habit around here, mm? Even if it doesn't appear to be permanent, I can't imagine it's pleasant.
