[She raises her eyebrows, her amusement growing. She'd... never thought of it that way before, but of course he'd see it like that. He didn't know she'd slapped him because he'd been working on Steve's corpse instead of giving Steve a proper burial.]

Did I mention that I'm dating Steve where I'm from?

[ Surprised as he is, he rattles that off as though she's just said something totally unremarkable. But then he clears his throat, a trifle awkwardly. ]

So you'll just hit on me every five minutes instead of every two? [She's still teasing, but after a moment she waves a hand.] Don't worry. Steve... I haven't seen the Steve from my universe since I got here. I don't even know how much time has passed at home, if any.

One does not hit on Captain America's girlfriend. That's like, I don't know, unpatriotic or something. Wrong. Deeply, disturbing wrong.

So we get you back to him as soon as possible. How's that sound?

[What starts as a grin at how wrong it would be to hit on her turns into a very wide and very genuine smile.]

That sounds wonderful. Do you think you can come up with a way to scramble their signals first? We can break the cameras temporarily, but they likely have bugs scattered around, and we don't have the tech to find them all.

I should be able to. I mean, the cameras are easy enough to find, right? I'll dismantle a few in whatever house I'm staying in and figure out where the signal's going and what it s. After that, I'll come up with an algorithm to scramble it. You want a tracer for the bugs, I can put one of those together, too.

If you manage any of that, I'll build you an altar, complete with a golden statue of yourself.

[None of them have managed it so far, but part of her still suspects and hopes that Tony will find a way.]
