[ Clint's still in bed after being...attacked by the crazy guy with a gun and choked out by a certain chick's thighs. He didn't know what was more difficult right at the moment, focusing on the world around him or trying to figure out where he was. ]

Phil? [ He stared a bit on the bracelet on his wrist, blinking. ] Nat? Someone wanna explain to me what the hell is goin' on here or are we just waitin' until I figure it out myself. [ He pressed his face against the pillow with a low groan. ] Goddammit.

[ Clint's eyes narrow at that. Suspicion turning into reality turning into a fucking nightmare. ]

No...but you're gonna tell me. Nat and Phil like to skim over the important shit when they don't think I can handle it. [ He couldn't. ]

[He sighs heavily. He doesn't like being some weird middleman in this. Wrapping an arm around Clint and stalling for time, he leads him to the living room and directs him to a chair before he answers.]

Coulson, in the helicarrier... [He shakes his head.] Apparently he stood up to Loki. Just... the wrong one. [His eyes search Clint's face, his eyes soft but grim. Bruce blames himself for that.]

[ Clint knew it was bad. He didn't think it was that bad. The archer steeled himself as he took a seat and looked into the doctor's eyes.

It felt worse than remembering he blew up the helicarrier. ]

He died a hero. Good for him. He's an idiot, but...good for him. [ Clint wanted to scream. He knew he wouldn't make it to far in the state he was in. Recuperation was apparently smiled upon in this situation. ] Did I--Well, ha...do you know if we won or not?

Yeah. Yeah, we did. [But he knows that that doesn't really make up for the lives that get lost along the way. He sit beside Clint, resting his arms on his thighs.]

After the... Well, they figured out Loki would be headed to Stark Tower. We all -- you included -- teamed up there and took him and his alien army out. Made a mess in the process, but...

[He shrugs, a smile there, but Bruce rarely ever means a smile the whole way through.]
