[She scoots forward on the stair, feeling her way along. The ladder leading upstairs to the attic is still open behind her, and some notebooks full of coded notes and a small lamp have fallen through behind her.]

So... here's the other bad news. Apparently, even though that whole is there in the floor every day, I chose today to be surprised by it. And I'm no expert, but I'm pretty sure I either broke my ankle or lost my foot.

[Her voice quiets.] It's going to be a long time before I reenact those Saw movies.

[ Clint's looked up the stairs before starting to run up before trying not to laugh as he moved over to help pick Veronica up, being mindful of her ankle. ]

You okay, V? Aside from the ankle crap. [ He grins as he carries her downstairs to set her on the sofa. ] And the blind shit. Do you remember gettin' sick? Gettin' into somethin' weird?

Beside from the ankle crap and the blind shit, I'm fantastic. [ And if her tone is too wry to be sincere, so be it. She doesn't particularly care. As... humiliating as it is to have to be carried around, whatever irritation she has is completely overshadowed by how damn glad she is that Clint came to help. At least now, whatever she's going through, she doesn't feel quite so alone about it.]

There was a box by my mattress when I woke up. And you know me. Waaaaaaaay too curious for my own good. I opened up, and there was a bright flash of light. I thought it was a bomb, until I realized that everything was fine. Except for how I couldn't see. Then I thought, okay, blown fuse.

And now it appears that I'm blind and can only hope that it's temporary.

So not only am I blind, but I apparently also fell down the stupid ladder, unlike my usual gracefully climbing down.
