The camera changing and lack of detection would make a tiny bit more sense.

[He pushes her one of the many beers he has in his 'still unopened' pile of bottles and finishes his own, adding it to the tiny mountain of finished ones. He wastes no time in opening another for himself.]

[She goes quiet. She needs to thank him for showing up to help her try to escape. She needs to apologize for failing so spectacularly. She needs to find out what he's imagining.]

[She opens the beer and takes a deep drink.]

I dunno if there'd have to be someone in each house. Don't think there would. There're so many excuses and reasons why traces of someone could be found in a house... scavenging, visiting, hell even checkin' up on someone.

Neither am I, but our people keep disappearing. People I trust, so I don't know what's up with the scientists but if they planted someone among us, I'd want to know about it.
