[ After that little outburst there's an intentional switch to video, and an obviously distressed Anna becomes visible to everyone. This is supposed to be locked, but well...she's not really in the right frame of mind to do it right. ]

Cas? Gabe? Hell, Lucifer even, are you seeing this? It's...christ, it's Dad.

Crowley. He's the king of Hell and I may have... double-crossed him. He may go after Dean, but he's far more likely to come after me or Meg. He's already sent hellhounds after her.

Double crossing a demon, huh? [ Despite everything she can't help but take the moment to be impressed. ] You need to get out of the firing line. With your powers gone too, you can't go up against a demon. Is there anywhere set up to keep this guy out?

I could try the church. I think I'm just going to wind up collecting salt, though.

[ Private ]

It's better than nothing. [ They really should have set up a safe house by now. Why haven't they done that yet? It seems so obvious now. ]

...Things are getting bad really fast, Cas. There's got to be a reason it's all happening now.

[ Private ]

Perhaps it has something to do with Lucifer.

Where are you? Are you safe?

[ Private ]

Safe? [ She doesn't mean to be cynical, really, but the sharp brittle laugh escapes before she has a chance. ] We're sitting ducks here. Sure we can keep a demon at bay, but Lucifer? Our Father?

[ She's not going to have her panic attack now though, there's more important priorities. She just falls silent for a moment, then nods. ]

One thing at a time, right? Your King of Hell, can you keep him away?

[ Private ]

I can try. It's all I've got.

[ He sighs. ]

Truthfully, though, if Lucifer or our Father want us, what can either of us do?

[ Private ]

Nothing.

[ And...he raises an excellent point. She deflates a little, more concerned than anything now, and drops her gaze to the window after a moment or two. ]

I had hoped...Him here, I thought maybe He was here to help.

[ Private ]

Anna...

[ Castiel's got his own issues with their Father, especially after his fruitless search and his unanswered prayers. ]

If He cared about us, He would have helped us by now. We're on our own. Gabriel would tell you the same thing.

[ Private ]

[ Gabriel did tell her pretty much the same thing, but she's not going to mention that. Instead she just chuckles quietly. It's definitely not a happy sound. ]

I know. I know that I do, it's just - [ She's not got a lot of faith any more. In fact, she'd barely thought it had existed at all, but then she'd seen Him and it had dragged up complex emotions on the matter that she'd thought she had left behind centuries ago. ]

You're right. He left us, why would He want to help now.

[ Private ]

[ He shakes his head. ]

We need to help ourselves... and each other. I care about you. I think Gabriel does, too. You're not alone.

[ He won't abandon her again. ]
