[ Sharon hadn't meant to sleep for so long once the hallucinations had become easier to handle, but she's feeling decidedly better than she has in days. Not necessarily hopeful - she's still keenly aware of the totally shit situation they're all in. She also knows that her face might not be the one people want to see. Those people, however, can suck it. Sharon's made bad decisions before. That doesn't mean she's going to allow herself to be defined by them. ]

Don't worry. I'm not making this as another invitation to an escape attempt. I just wanted to check on everyone and see how everyone's doing. If you have any friends here, I'd appreciate it if you could check in with them. I'd also appreciate it if you guys could check with either myself or the far more personable [ was that a joke? ] Coulson.

If there's anything you need, please don't hesitate to let me know. I may not have any bullets left, but I've still got some blades. I also want to know how long you think you'll last with the limited food supplies.

[Sharon's expression is suddenly more reserved, though her eyes are still as sharp as ever. She'd watched as many of those conversations as she could. She knows what he's talking about.]

She's a friend of Stane's. Frankly, I think if she knew a way to escape, she would have utilized it by now, without letting everyone suffer what they have, and with far less fuss.

[A wordy way of saying Sharon doesn't trust her.]

Food supplies are starting to run pretty low. Didn't someone swipe the food from the spare houses? Has it all been used up or is it still stored somewhere?

Our new wannabe-mayor, Stane. [Sharon's voice is dry.] He was kind enough to steal all the food for safekeeping.

I plan on having a chat with him later. I won't let people die due to malnutrition.

Not dying is definitely the option I'm up for.

Maybe whoever brought us here wants to see how much we need to starve before we start eating each other...

It's the only option. [Whoops. That... might have been a sharp tone. But Sharon doesn't care. She isn't going to let anyone die on her watch. Survival is the only option.]

It's a popular tactic to break people's spirits. It makes them more pliable, more animalistic, and, if they succumb, easier to control. [A nicer way of describing the reality than she would normally use, but Donna is a civilian. Sharon doesn't want to panic the civilians.]

Steve was tryin'a organize some kinda hunting thing. There's stuff out there for us to eat, we just gotta get it. I have some smoked venison jerky, but there's rabbits too... some plants...

As for checking in, Laura's still missing... an' now I can't track down Dean either... [He recites the information like it didn't mean anything to him, face emotionless, though he looks anywhere but at the camera. Without saying anything more he ends the message.]

[Like hell Sharon is going to leave it at that. She sends him a private message, and that's as far as she'll go to respect his privacy.]

Stane has some other stuff we might need, if you feel like paying him a visit with me sometime.

[She draws a breath.]

Coulson and Barton are missing, too.

[His expression seems to light up slightly at her suggestion, a mischievous smirk pulling at the corner of his mouth.]

I like the sound of that. A friendly little talk never hurt no one.

[He doesn't comment on Coulson and Barton. The fact that they're people make them worth caring about, but he wasn't exactly on friendly terms with Hawkeye.]

If there are any other escape attempts, I don't know about them. [And that worries her. With the hallucinations lately, she feels as if she's been blinded lately.]

Sharon Carter. I've got a code name, but no one really uses it around here anymore.

Yes, a code name. Like a nickname. It's used so people don't figure out who I am. But seeing as how nearly everyone already knows who I am...

[ Public appearances are important, right? That's why she starts off with this message open, a vague attempt at a smile even. If anyone's paying attention they'll notice how forced it is, but on face value it's just a nice, pleasant enough message. ]

In the wake of the hallucinations people seem to be getting better quite rapidly. Not noticed any permanent injuries so far, but people might be keeping them quiet for now. That's all I've noticed.

[ Except not really, and she switches to private to continue. The cheery demeanor is dropped in favour of a much more abrupt manner. ]

It's getting worse. More people have disappeared. Another one of the people I know, Dean Winchester. I've heard mentions of others too. Food's low, there's a woman screeching on about new escape attempts, and well - [ Pause. ] Lucifer is here.

[Sharon, too, starts off public. Whoever spies on them will find that this is a very dull, short conversation.]

That's the best we can hope for right now, I think. Keep me updated.

I've heard that Dean is missing. A girl named Laura is also missing. And no one has seen Coulson or Barton around lately, either.

[There's a slight pause, and her tone is sharper when she next speaks.]

What do you mean, Lucifer. As in, Big Bad Lucifer? Satan Lucifer?

[ She's a little hesitant to continue, she knows Sharon's world isn't the same as her own, but if there's anyone she thinks needs to know, it's her. ]

Yes, as in Satan Lucifer. Me and- [ whoops backpedal backpedal ] I spoke with him. We seem to have come to an arrangement to ensure the safety of the humans here, provided they don't provoke him. I don't know how strongly we can rely on that, though.
