Hey guys.

[ She's still getting over the after effects of her own personal heightened state of panic, so forgive her if Laura looks more tired than usual. She totally has a reason for addressing literally everyone though, so she presses on with a quick smile. ]

Listen, I've ransacked the place I'm staying at and there's literally no clothes I can feasibly wear. [ Which is in part because the clothes indicate this house had last been inhabited by people in their fifties, and part because she looks like she hasn't had so much as a meal - let alone a hot one - in weeks. She laughs briefly, shrugging and glancing down for a moment. ] Does anyone have like, spare female clothes floating around? I can't keep walking around in shorts, my legs are going to be permanently icicles soon I swear.

So yeah. [ Welp, awkward request is awkward. ] I can like, try to find stuff to trade or whatever, so let me know? Thanks.

All over the U.S. I just don't...get cold.

[facilitated]

Yeah, but people don't just not get cold though. That's not how the body even works. [ Wow be more probing Laura, seriously. ] Don't have to brave face for me dude, even I'll admit I'm freezing off my ladyballs.

[charring]

No. I really don't get cold. I'm not brave-facing shit.

[facilitated]

Seriously? You have got to tell me your secret, I can't handle it.

[charring]

It just happens. It's a thing. [A shop related thing but she doesn't want to get into that.] I'm in house ten.

[facilitated]

A weird thing. I'm totally jealous. [ She wouldn't be if she knew, but that's a whole thing for another time. There's a sound of movement as she gets up, and just before she cuts the feed there's a quick 'be there soon'.

Sure enough she is, it's just a short walk, and yes she is still wearing the dumb sweater. It's starting to grow on her now. Don't even ask, Charlie.

When she gets to house ten, she's quick to start knocking, and it's at least three more than necessary before she stops. At least she is knocking though, right? It's an acquired skill. ]

[charring]

[Knocking is in fact a good thing. For many a reason. Charlie's quick to open the door, sort of half-smiling at Laura.] Hi. Come on in. My clothes are in the living room.

[She was searching her bag for food and found pretty much nothing, like she suspected, but there they are. Three pairs of jeans, four shirts, one of which is long sleeve in case people really get on her for dressing for the wrong weather. A few pairs of socks. Other stuff. Whatever.] Knock yourself out. I don't mind.

[facilitated]

[ She's quick to come inside, mostly because of the fact that it's freezing, but once she's inside she just gives her arms a quick, light rub. This is definitely much better. ]

Hey look, thanks for this. It's been super fun freezing and everything, but I'm seriously over it now. [ She flashes a quick smile as she glances over at the clothes. ] God you were so much prepared for this than me.

[charring]

It's weird but, I hear keeping warm is all the rage in the winter. [A shrug and a smirk. She's cracking a joke.]

Take what you need. I'm good. I have my own way of keeping warm so go for it.

[facilitated]

Yeah, but it's just one of them fads, it'll be gone by the end of the month. [ See, jokes are Laura's forte. She loves jokes, they're her comfort zone. She'll just stick with that-


...Except not really, because she's totally interested in this method of keeping warm that Charlie 'Bobbi' has. ]

Oh yeah? How? Because I am so not a cold kind of girl, I'm not made for this. What do you do?

[charring]

It's...[Well, Logan already knew by this point. So Charlie looks at Laura for a moment, wondering how the girl would react.]

I'm a pyrokinetic. I start fires with a thought. It's...an ability that's always under the surface, ready to be used. It's always just made me warmer than most.
