-- cannot see anything but the shadows on the wall of the cave. But what if you could see behind you, to look at what was causing the shadows? You would have a new... view of the world, right? So of course, you would want to know more. Say that you managed to escape the bonds and leave the cave. You would see the sun for the first time, and knowing that light, or that goodness, would be both awesome and terrifying.

[ Oops, someone accidentally turned on his communicator in the middle of a philosophical explanation. Good job there, Jet. He hasn't noticed it's on. And he probably won't, because he isn't alone! There's a voice that comes to the left of him, female, probably recognizable if you've spoken to her before, that says something that the audio doesn't pick up. ]

Yes, that is -- [ But he doesn't get to finish, because there's a sudden stop, the girl's voice again, Jet muttering something, footsteps -- and then, a very loud, and very scared, scream.

The feed goes dead. ]

I didn't think the speech was that bad. [He's smiling, but there's a ripple of concern keeping it from being entirely lighthearted.] Everyone okay?

[ He offers a small smile in return, appreciating the lightheartedness. ] I am, and Laura is as well. However, we've come across a body in the fountain. You said you were a doctor, correct?

[Oh, shit.] Yes, that's right. Do you want me to come over and help? Think the two of us can move it to the clinic or should I call for reinforcements?

I think that the two of us could probably move it. I would need someone to look out for Laura, however, which is why if her housemates are not here, I'd need to wait a moment. I don't want her to be alone. [ A beat. ] Bring gloves.

Laura? [Oh, the scream. Bruce nods.]

Got it. [Latex gloves or thicker ones? He'll bring both just in case.] I'll be there soon.

[He turns up with two pairs of thick gloves he found and also several pairs of latex gloves, as he's not sure if it's cleaniness they're looking for or if they're going to be dealing with something... messy.]

Hi, Jet?

[ Jet will be standing around! He really doesn't know what to do with dead bodies, or... well, not here, at least. In the desert, you burned the bodies. It was just easier. But here, it's probably different, and he feels he should leave it to the more experienced.

When Bruce arrives, Jet gives him a small smile. ] Hello. Dr. Banner, right?

[ Laura's equally as lost in the situation, more so because they haven't really got any idea who she is. She feels like they should be telling someone, notifying loved ones, all that crap. Here though, it's not like there's a guarantee there's people that even know her. Except then she sees Bruce and she kind of remembers where it is she knows him from, and she just folds her arms over her chest quickly.

...She's totally not hiding when she takes a subtle step slightly behind Jet. Not at all. ]

It's...good of you to come out, help us out with this and stuff.

[As far as bodies go, Bruce figures this one needs an autopsy, and then they can pick somewhere to bury it. Her. It's an it while he's doing the autopsy and then a her after, he supposes. He smiles at Jet and then at Laura, but the smile flickers as she ducks. She seems vaguely familiar; does he know her? Maybe it's a Hulk thing.]

Call me Bruce. And it's not good of me at all. It's my job. [He grins, teasing, and then spots the body.]

Who is it?

[His stomach clenches, but he ignores it.]

[ Jet doesn't make a huge deal out of it, but he does stay exactly where he is, freezes in spot, so that Laura can stay hidden if she needs to. He offers a small smile in return, and glances at the body. ]

I don't know her name, but I do know she was on the communicators during the hallucinations. She had mentioned getting out of here, but I had been informed that was mostly useless, so I ignored it in favor of 'tripping balls', as a friend of mine so eloquently put it.

[ Not hiding! Just..wary. She hovers awkwardly just by his side, only half behind him as she watches Bruce. Sure, everyone was crazy at the time, but that doesn't make her any less antsy given all the circumstances recently. ]

I, well. We think that might be why this happened. Right? [ She quickly glances at Jet for confirmation, pointedly looking anywhere but at the fountain it seems. ] Whoever took us here, they probably wouldn't have been happy about that.

Oh, her.

[ Bruce had seen her around town, but it's not like they were very close. The giving away of information had been nice, if, you know, she hadn't been lying to them the whole time before. It also raises some questions about who else among their numbers might be a plant. Which is something to worry about after they do something with her. ]

That's a shame, and you're probably right. Awesome. [ He sighs, and then pulls out his reading glasses and starts toward the fountain. ]

Has anything been disturbed since you found her? Not that I can include being a CSI to my list of credentials.

[ Sherlock could. Maybe Bruce ought to call him. ]

Laura's right. [ He affirms. ] I doubt they'd want us to know how to leave.

[ He shakes his head. ] And no. We've kept our distance. I can't say I'm an expert in bodies, but I do know that it's generally better not to touch them. [ He offers Bruce a small smile. ] I can help move her out of the fountain, if you need a better look. [ It wouldn't be the worst thing he's picked up. ]

[ There's a clear, deliberate effort to keep her voice calm and even when Laura responds, finally. She's calmer now than when she had first seen the body at least, but it's obviously shaken her. ]

Someone's dropped a body. In town- in the fountain. It's...she dead.

Okay, stay calm. Okay? I'll be there soon.
