[Other than, you know, how they can't escape. But Sharon's just teasing, anyway.]

Her name is Brigid [pronounced properly, like Bride]. Curly red hair. Hard to miss.

I rather hate all the sitting around with nothing to do.

I recently encountered a delightful box filled with spiders.

If this is operational condition, it's not even very clever.

I think they're offering us shreds of hope and then taking them away. That, combined with the lack of food, people disappearing, and people dying, suggest that they're trying to break our spirits. Why let us find the dead people if they can be taken away otherwise?

[Half an hour later, there's a knock at the door. Part of her is almost afraid Kenzi won't be here after all, though she won't say she would be entirely surprised.]

To talk about SHIELD. I think that with so many of us missing or worse, it might be time to... not toss in the towel, but certainly make it less formal.

I suppose.

[ He looks up at the knock on the door and then smirks back into his watch. ]

I guess you'll find out.

[ Considering he heard the knock, the suspense isn't all that suspenseful, and he opens up the door for her. ]

Hi. Come on in. Have a seat if you want.

There isn't really an alternative. We either keep fighting or we give up.

Thanks. [She stands awkwardly for a moment before dropping into a chair.]

I think it's best to disband SHIELD as we've been trying to make it work. Perhaps we'll keep it around as a more informal group, but trying to rebuild it as we had it back home? I have my doubts as to whether it will work.

I'll announce it tomorrow, but I wanted to tell what Avengers we have before I do.

It seems to me our prerogative is to do the opposite.

Which is one of the reasons I have no intention of giving up.
