[ So here's someone who will be familiar to anyone paying attention to the networks recently - except at least this time there's no screaming. Instead she switches on the video after composing herself, and she's maybe not as calm as she'd like, but it's close enough. ]

The people we found, is anyone- [ she hesitates a moment, she's not good at public speaking at the best of times, let alone with the topic at hand. She presses on though, after a moment to suck in a sharp breath of air. ] Is anyone arranging a funeral for them? I just...wanted to know, that's all.

[ Another hesitation. She looks tired, and in the moment that she sweeps the stray hair out of her face it's kind of obvious that she's not looking a hundred per cent. ]

I'll do it, if there isn't something already.

[ And...that'll do apparently, because with that she cuts the feed. ]

[ That response fills her with more relief than she can quite express, and she smiles slightly as she responds. ] Yeah, yeah I would really like that. I don't...really know where to start. I've just attended them.

I'm, um, pretty sure not much can be done in the embalming department, since they were kind of... out. For a while. But I used to help my dad out with funerals, so I can help plan.

[facilitated]

Yeah, I kinda guessed that much. They're - [ How do you put 'decomposing' in a lighter way? ] ...not a pretty sight.

What sort of things do you think we need to sort out? I mean, besides like people and uh. A place to do it.

I hadn't thought about -- That's a good idea. We should do it soon, by the way. It's definitely time for them to be buried. [ Both of them died several days ago, and their bodies won't... keep for much longer. ]

Could you arrange something by tomorrow, do you think?

Tomorrow? [ Woah, no pressure or anything there Bruce. She swallows, but it's okay. She can do that for these people surely. ]

Tomorrow is fine. I'll sort something out. Will you be there?

Of course, yeah. I'll do anything you need me to, too. I can wrap the bodies in a sheet. It's probably...

I'm not a mortician, you know? I can't make them look... nice enough for something open casket.

[facilitated]

I don't think anyone's going to be upset about that.

[ Seriously. She saw Maria's body, she can only assume that Phil wasn't in a much better state. ] A guy...said he had some experience. You don't uh...know of anything we could use though, for a casket?

Yeah, that's...

[He trails off, and shakes his head.]

I'll lend a hand, if it's needed.

[facilitated]

If you're okay with it. [ She's trying to make it easy for people to change their mind, but it's hard to hide how relieved she is at the offer. ] It uh, it's going to be tomorrow though. Is that okay?

[reluctantsword]

Yeah, not a problem. Just let me know what you need to have done.

[facilitated]

I just- there's a cemetery here right? Do you think there, maybe?

[ There's a rap at Laura's door after a few moments, something soft and almost timid. He's not really sure where they stand anymore, at this point, so he doesn't open it; just calls through the door. ]

Ya need help?

[facilitated]

[ She hesitates a moment before answering, and there's a little part of her that kind of doesn't want to answer. She gets up off the bed eventually, goes to the door and opens it enough to look through as she leans against the door frame. ]

I, uh. Yeah, if you're offering. I guess I could use a hand.

[ Which he's obviously supposed to translate as 'I'm kind of over my head and really need that help' of course. ]

[magnets]

[ Jesse was leaning up against the door frame as well, biting at a thumbnail and really half-expecting her to just not open the door. When it does, he jumps a little, rounds himself so he can see her instead. Definitely, definitely understands the in over her head notion - just unlike when he's seen it on himself, he's here to offer help. ]

Waddya need? [ Anything. ] Ya need graves, right?

[ Which is surprisingly nonchalant, even as he worriedly rubs a hand over one of his eyes. It's not his first rodeo. ]

[facilitated]

Graves, hadn't even thought about that.

[ She laughs, rubbing a hand over her face lightly before nodding. She stays by the door for another moment or two, quietly watching him the whole time, then nudges her door open with her foot. She gestures inside, tries to smile a little, and steps back from the door. ] You uh, can come in if you want.

[ But back to graves, because as little as she wants to talk about it she knows she has to sort something out. Arranging funerals is hard. Arranging funerals in a day with minimal resources is almost impossible. ] You'd help me dig graves?

[facilitated]

I don't think we want the town smelling like burning bodies for the next week.

[ It's supposed to be a quip, okay? Except she's kind of humorless right now and it just ends up sounding a little resigned. Not exactly an abundance of pine boxes around though.

Let the water deal with it.

Did you know either of them? It's just that...I mean, I didn't. I don't know who their friends are..

I knew Coulson well. We were friends. He was also friends with Dr. Banner, Tony Stark, and Steve Rogers, if that will help you.

[Steve, who's still missing in the woods somewhere. Maybe she shouldn't have let him go... At least not without backup.]
