001 ❦ Day 47 ❦ Video
[Ivy's face and bare shoulders appear on the screen, neatly framed - she's never used a device quite like the one she's using now, but she's accustomed to this sort of technology. Her expression can be summed up as 'I'm tolerating this but I'm not sure why'. She's in the park; you can just about see some of the gazebo behind her.]
...'We hope you enjoy your stay'. Mm. Easily the politest kidnappers I've encountered so far.
I assume that these devices are meant for communicating with those I'm sharing my 'new home' with. My hosts - our hosts - appear to be the type who'll see and not be seen, never mind negotiated with.
[Her eyes flicker to one side. There's a camera just visible over that shoulder; it's been strangled and crushed by a length of dark vine.
She pauses momentarily, since being actively courteous doesn't come easily to her.]
I won't assume that anyone here knows any more than I've just been told, but if so I'd be grateful to learn more about where I've been transplanted to.

So she puts the batsuit on, so Ivy will know who she is, but leaves the cowl at home and goes to find her in the park. When she's still a long ways off and very much not a threat, she waves and shouts to her.]
Hi! Truce?

As spread out as her perception is, she becomes aware of the new presence just before it announces itself. She opens her eyes and -
Well. The part of her that wants to be furious about encountering one Bat less than an hour after escaping another is chased out by the part surprised to see her uncowled and (she thinks) alone.
She rises to her feet.]
Why?
[It doesn't even cross her mind that any of Gotham's native colony would spend long anywhere against their will.]

[Her hands are up as she comes closer, just an extra show of no really I don't have any intentions of starting anything.]
We're both... trapped, here. Might as well... be friendly.

You say 'stuck'. There's forest to the north and water on all other sides. Advisory aside, we don't seem short on escape routes.

Has anyone told you anything useful? Or has it all been clumsy propositioning and commentary on your appearance?
[Erik saw ...some of that, but he's too busy to go through all your shit, okay, Network.]

What is there that's useful to know?

This woman, though. Charlie likes her.]
Neat trick with the camera.
[She's guessing that vine was this woman's fault. And considering she spent most of the first 12 years of her life under watch? She approves.
Even if it isn't entirely evident in her mosty-flat tone.]
Kinda sucks it'll be good as new tomorrow.
[That...actually seems to bother her.]

[Well, of course they are.]
Let me guess: no one's seen it been done.

Green is a good color. Balance and harmony.
The Knight will tell you, he has her report and its information. [ Her expression is hesitant. ] Can a request be made?

I'm sure it can.

[ Tony's accustomed to people who seem to have taken their coloring from the rainbow. One of his best friends is green. Someone else he knows is blue. It's all good. ]
As far as abductions go, on a scale of one to ten, I rate this one at about a five. It's not the Ritz, but I've been through worse. We have shelter and some food, but the torture isn't too bad. Yet.
