First, I wanted to share a theory with you guys. [She holds up a bowl in her free hand and sets it on the table, turning her wristcomm so everyone can see. There's a glimpse of the kitchen of the house, some silverware bent into odd shapes on the counter and one cabinet door taken off completely. The mess is actually bigger than that, but Sharon moves the comm in such a way that the worst is hidden.] I think this is the barrier we're dealing with. Our environment is being controlled, obviously, and most of the deliveries are from above, far enough that we have no way of reaching it without technology, which we don't presently have. [Though she supposes they could use the Hulk. But she won't put that added pressure on Bruce yet. Yet.]

I suspect there are service entrances located at various points around the border, but we haven't yet been able to reach them. I'll keep looking into it, though.

Second, I'm disbanding what's left of SHIELD. I've already talked to its members and feel that it's the best thing for our current situation.

However, if you need anything, I'm still willing to offer my services. Just ask.

[Times like these, "Thank you" doesn't seem like the right thing to say. So instead instead she just cuts the feed and goes to put the bowl away. That's that.]

Soooo, define for me, if you will, what exactly "disbanding SHIELD" means.

There was a SHIELD. Now there isn't.

You... look familiar. X-Man, right? [Right. Jubilee. Something about light. Fireworks? Sharon hadn't worked that beat in a long time, thank God.] I'm a friend of Logan's.

So, let me get this straight. You're a SHIELD agent, and you think that coming into an alternate dimension is the perfect time to set up a SHIELD satellite office?

[she shakes her head.]

Dude, no wonder Fury was trying to recruit me. And yeah, I'm Jubilee.

There were more agents here at the time, agents from multiple universes, and as we had experience with emergency situations, we tried to help, and we let people know we were here. I'm sure Fury wouldn't have tried to recruit you if he thought you would do any less.

Thank you for your input, however. I'm sure I would take it into consideration if the matter weren't already resolved.

Actually, I'm pretty sure Fury was recruiting me to 1) have another mutant under his thumb, 2) have full access to the X-Men and 3) have Wolverine on faster speed-dial.

[Because, yes, he's that much of an asshole and hadn't denied it when she'd laid it on the line.]

[Sharon takes a deep breath and rubs the bridge of her nose. She hates to admit it, but that does sound like Nick, only... full access to the X-Men? Somehow, she doubts Jubilee has that much clout. And SHIELD has never had that much difficulty getting in touch with Logan when it's been necessary.]

[When she talks again, she sounds tired.]

I don't know how much anyone has told you, but Stane holds the keys to the food. If he doesn't give you your fair share, let me know and I'll take care of it. If you need help of a defensive nature, I'm available to help. Look on the bright side. If you want to avoid me for good, it would be a good way of getting rid of me for good.

[And Sharon wouldn't mind hitting fighting for her life against someone or something right now.]

Yeah, about that, with who I've met since arriving... just why is Stane holding the keys to the food? Because that hasn't been explained yet.

[Damn it. Not her favorite question. Now she'll get the blame for that, too, she supposes. At least no one can blame Phil anymore. Not if they know what's good for them. And not if Sharon can help it.] When we first noticed the food wasn't being replenished, we had fewer people. I had all the food moved from the empty houses to a safe location for rationing later in case we had to resort to such things. Stane saw, disapproved, and stole what was left. I've already informed him of what I'll do if he doesn't prove willing to share the food with people who need it.

SHIELD efficiency at its finest I see.

[She's trying to dehydrate the entirety of the sea out there.]

Part of the reason I decided to disband it. I trust, since you're such a fan of it, you don't have a problem with that.

Yeah, and I notice you do it after everything's gone down and look at the convenience, an X-Man here to clean up your crap. Again. Shocking.

[She cuts it. Yeah, she made that last word sound like a curse.]

[By the time Sharon stops laughing about the X-Men - Sorry, an X-Man - cleaning up the situation here, she's missed the last line and the feed has been cut. She looks out the window without actually seeing anything. Ideally, she would warn Jubilee despite Jubilee's attitude, but she's more inclined to let Jubilee find out on her own. After all, the girl obviously isn't inclined to listen.]

[On the up side, Sharon hasn't had a good laugh like that in ages. She chuckles anew for a moment before turning her attention to other matters.]
