001 | Charlie Luciano | Voice
[Hello Cape Kore, were you feeling a lack of New Yorkers you needed to fill? Another very strong accent comes over the device, deeper this time and much angrier.
Do to the automated response from his wrist... whatever, Charlie has come to the conclusion that it's some kind of direct line to his kidnappers. So please do excuse him for making rather a colourful first impression.]
I don't know who you thinks you are, you sick fucks, but whatever they're paying you ain't gonna be worth jack shit when I gets my hands on you, you hear?
And what kind of idiot you gotta be to dump someone and not fucking search 'em first?
Hey! [Charlie's voice becomes a little more indistinct as he moves his wrist to flag down a passing stranger.]
What to I gotta do to get a fucking car around here?

Hey! [Charlie's voice becomes a little more indistinct as he moves his wrist to flag down a passing stranger.]
What to I gotta do to get a fucking car around here?
[action]
[He notes another camera above the cupboards, and fishes out a tea towel to throw over that one.]
Re: [action]
[Sadly, that's likely true. Although he really doesn't think those three things can possibly go together in an appetizing combination.]
Re: [action]
[He's sticking to just the beans for now, rummaging through cupboards and drawers until he finds a can opener and a saucepan.
Meyer's staying awfully far away, for when it's just the two of them at least, and he keeps glancing over his shoulder. With the way things have been going today, he wouldn't be surprised if he could vanish into think air at any moment, and he intends not to let that happen.]
Re: [action]
[Hey Charlie, did you ever need to be reminded that you've been arrested and Meyer hasn't? You're welcome.]
I got a strange question -- where were you right before you showed up here?
[He's trying to figure out if they're from exactly the same time. From what he's heard, things don't always work that way, and the idea of that concerns him.]
[action]
Re: [action]
[He's relieved. He's not sure if he should tell Charlie why he's relieved, but after a long pause, ultimately decides it's probably better if everyone's on the same page.]
Not everyone here's from the same time, or so they say. Stands to reason that maybe one of us could have been from a different time, too, right?
[action]
[He empties the can of beans into the pot with some aggression.]
Like there ain't enough here already that's fucked up.
Re: [action]
[Uh oh. Swearing. Someone's really feeling petulant.]
[action]
[They sure are missing that heroin deal. Fuck, after all the work they did.
But dammit the cameras are off and they're alone now and Meyer is getting bitchy so Charlie wanders over. It's just a hand of his shoulder before traveling over to his neck, thumb stroking behind his ear.]
Re: [action]
[Because, really, he's found that a surprising number of people want them dead. It seems unfair to Meyer -- after all, he's just doing his job. So his job might involve some people getting shot; that's their problem.
At first he's inclined to brush Charlie's hand away, feeling too irritated for something as simple as a gentle touch, but then he sighs. They're alone, and they're stuck, and neither of them are happy about it. He might as well let Charlie try to calm him down.]
[action]
If that many people wanna kill us we must be doing something right.
[The hand moves a little into his hair now, running his long fingers through the straight strands.]
Re: [action]
[But he's actually inclined to agree. They've managed to piss off a lot of people, and that means people are taking notice of them. He can't argue that the hand in his hair doesn't feel good, and he's starting to feel slightly more grounded, slightly less frantic.]
Re: [action]
Come on, dinner time. I slaved over a hot fucking oven for this, you're gonna eat it.
Re: [action]
[He's finally realizing he's hungry, though, and actually sitting down at the table, not pacing.]
Re: [action]
It would go a hell of a lot better with some whiskey, but what are you going to do.]
Re: [action]
[action]
You can wash up.
[Because he cooked obviously. He's just going to dump his bowl in the sink. Also he has no idea why he still has his collar and tie still on, so he's working those off as he goes to explore the rest of the house.]
Re: [action]
Re: [action]
You seen the size of that fucking bathtub? You could fit a fucking platoon in there.
Re: [action]
Can't be that big.
Re: [action]
[Meyer will probably be able to tell from experience how many plans he's forming for how to use that tub to its best advantage.]
Re: [action]
[action]
He spots the camera as soon as they're in. He's developing an eye for them. A hand towel goes over it quick smart, and then he's pulling Meyer in closer by his belt loops.]
So what'ya think?
Re: [action]
Huh. You could fit a couple people in there easy.
Re: [action]
[Somehow a small room like this feel a little more protected than being in some strange house, and he leans down to kiss Meyer. They hadn't done that since the night before Masseria and the drug money, and apparently it's been even longer for Meyer. And patience has never been Charlie's strong suit.]
