The air tastes strange. [ River knows the video is on but she's not looking at it, allowing instead for the broadcast to show the hallway of house seventeen in the waning afternoon light.

An arm reaches out and a door swings open to a bedroom. Bed rumpled and several books scattered around but otherwise empty.

They took him and she doesn't know when. They took a note, the whole song is wrong now.

[ River sounds exhausted. ]

[ His frown deepens - but her question makes him pause. ]

Wait, you don't know Spiderman? [ WAT ] ... Peter Parker, right? There's this real smart kid, that's his name. And he gets bitten by a radioactive spider, and it gives him some powers, like - he can climb up walls and he's got this sense that lets him know if something is gonna hit him, so he can dodge. S'called Spidey sense.

And cause he's super smart, he builds himself this like, web... dispenser thing, with super strong webbing and he swings 'round the city and saves it from crime. [ Spiderman is Jesse's favorite. ]
