Okay, so, that was fun.

[Her tone clearly implies that it was anything but.]

I just wanted to say thank you to the people that helped me when I was, uh, a little mangled. I know there was a lot of weirdness going on and I just wanted to say thanks for helping me out when you guys were all messed up. Too. When you were messed up too. Because I was, obviously.

[Nice save, Riley. Her smile had almost fallen off at that, but she pasted it back on brightly, smiling into the communicator.]

I hope the rest of you are doing better now that everything's back to normal. Or, you know, as normal as it gets around here. I'm here if anyone needs me.

[Not that she thought that would happen, but hey, it was always better to offer.]

No complaints here. Didn't lose any body parts or anything and I'm all in one piece. It's nice to meet you, Fortescue, even under these circumstances.

And you, as well. Being in one piece is always a good thing. ..although that does make me want to ask if it's not very common here.

I'm not really sure. I haven't been here a long time myself, but there's been a death or two, plus some dismembered bodies and there's also the robot bears. Normal isn't the word that comes to mind.

Are they common?

I think they are in the woods further away from town. I sort of ran into them trying to escape. No es bueno.

They do sound horrific. One more reason to stay out of the woods, I suppose. It's an odd menagerie in there.

Between the robot bears and the velociraptors, I don't think there needs to be much else in there to keep me from exploring too much.

I heard something about dire wolves. But no, those two alone should keep most people well clear. People with sense, at least.

It makes me wonder if they're there deliberately, to corral, or if they're... native.

I'm going to go with corralling. The dinopunks might have been trying to take a piece out of me, but the robot bears were more interested in keeping me from leaving.

Surely there's someone here who can take on robot bears.

I have a feeling if there was, something bigger would come along. Like a giant Pac-Man with lasers or something. This place is eerie.

I wish we could do that. I was on my way to explore America. This is kind of as far away from exploring as you can get.
