[The communicator turns on with a sharp whack before suddenly turning off again. And on. And off. And on--] Stupid piece of spy-reject, cattle-tagging crap. Get. OFF!

[When it comes back on and stays on, it's obvious by the scratches in the paint that it was being banged against a wall. Kenzi turns the device on her wrist to peer at it, into it, and she stares... until realization hits her.]

[ Galen nearly punches himself in the face with his own arm as he yanks it up to look at the screen. He knows that frustrated grumbling. Oh shit, oh shit. ]

Kenzi. [ Galen questions, and Jesse knows. Needs, even, to affirm it to himself and get his ass wherever Kenzi is. Oh god, she's not gone. She's not gone forever. ] Kenzi, where - tell me where you are.

[ And yes, he still looks awful. Maybe even more so. Maybe a little less so - Ned fed him pie. ]

[ Ned's out and about when he receives the message, watering some of the plants he'd left scattered around town. He doesn't look at it for a while, because he's sure what it will be: more bad news. More people missing. Three had gone just yesterday - he wonders if it will be more or less today. When he does check and sees that it's Kenzi, he promptly drops the old rusty watering can on his foot in surprise. But that's completely worth it, okay, because Kenzi is back. ]

[ Have a screenful of beaming Ned. It seems wrong to be so glad, that she's back in this awful place, but here is at the very least not some horrible lab (he thinks of his earlier conversation with Erik) or dead in the woods somewhere, her body not yet discovered ]

[ He wasn't worried. Nope. It's his first experience with people disappearing here, and it's weird for him; he's used to losing people and having them come back unexpectedly or with a lot of pain and effort. He's not sure how to feel, except relieved. ]
