Day 69 | [video] | Dilandau Albatou

[For the first time since he's been in Kore, Dilandau's not looking the least bit put out when making a public announcement. He's alert and in a good mood. Though he's draped on his sofa, it's a deceptive relaxation. He's got the stillness of a coiled spring,  ready to jump into action any moment. ]

 I hear there's more than beasts in the woods. Does anyone have information about the metal bears who guard the perimeter in the forest?

Thought you might.

[The video cuts for a minute or two. When the feed comes back online, Gabriel is in the woods, throwing things at one of the bears with one hand while keeping the camera on his other wrist angled towards the bear. By the look of the poor thing, he's already thrown a few stones and branches, but this last one seems to be the final straw in catching its attention, and it starts moving towards him.]

You getting this, Houston?

[It's no time for annoyances. Dilandau's fully in spying mode, muttering his instructions lowly as he watches everything that happens.]

I can see it. Keep your arm at that angle.

You're the boss.

[Taking care not to move the arm with the communicator too far from its position, he waits for the bear to approach, and then, rather anticlimactically, snaps his fingers once it's fairly close.

It explodes.]

[He curses loudly in shock and then again in anger. There's a steady stream of muttering through gritted teeth while he gets over the fact that this guy can make things explode and that if Dilandau does go over there he might explode too before he'd even get to kick his teeth in.

After Dilandau's noises taper off he manages enough calmness to ask]

Is there something flammable in the bear or was that all you?

Most things are flammable, really.

[He turns the communicator on his wrist back to show his face. He does this for the sole purpose of demonstrating exactly how mundane he finds this. He's even examining his nails: no cliché is out of bounds.]

But mostly? Yeah. That was me. Try to control your swooning.

[What he wouldn't do for power like that of his own...]
